Hi Friends! Hope you all are doing well today. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, I would like to talk about the importance of mental health today. Now I am no professional in this area, I am simply a girl that has learned a lot about my own mental health over the past several years. Let's address the elephant in the room... The stigma attached to mental health. This stigma doesn't exist in the Adela Told Me world. I completely believe that it is OK to not be OK. As I said above, I am no expert in this area so let me share some of my own experiences. First up... Anxiety. Good ole anxiety. The truth is I didn't know I suffered from anxiety until I was an adult. Growing up I would often get stomach aches or if something stressful happened I would get the sudden urge to run.
