Empties: Home Edition

Hey there! Thank you for joining me today and Happy Wednesday! As most of you know, I hang on to my makeup and beauty related empties so I thought this would share my "Home" empties. We all use products like this but they're rarely ever talked about. If you like these posts please be sure to let me know. Otherwise, I can skip these and post something else. I am going to breeze through these as fast as I can and tell you want I think about each product. Here we go! These were the biggest items in the bag so I picked these first. These are little bits of heavenly scent that you dump into your washer as it's filling. They leave your laundry smelling fresh a lot longer than using just a dryer sheet. I will add less or more depending on what I am washing; for clothes I use less than the lowest line in the cap. For bedding and towels I will fill that baby up. I find the best selection and prices at Walmart. Now for our dirty mitts! I love the foaming hand s...

Faithful Friday: Being Loving

Hello everyone! I hope this week was good to you. Today we're talking about being loving. That might seem easy enough, right? You love your husband (or at least I hope you do). You love your kids, and so on. However, even though you love someone doesn't always mean you will having a loving attitude towards them. I am going to share my thoughts on how to show love even in the toughest of situations. How did I teach myself to be loving? A major way was teaching myself not to instantly react to situations. Most of the time we react based off of emotion. Someone is mean to us, so we're mean back. Someone says something nasty, so we're nasty back. Nothing new there. This can lead to some very hurtful and damaging situations. Then we end up feeling guilt and regret. No one needs those feelings lurking around. Aside from not wanting to feel guilty there is an even larger reason for not acting out. We are called to love one another as God loves us. Really?! That is easier...

Faithful Friday: Being an example

Welcome back! Today I thought I would talk about something that has been on my mind a LOT lately. Being an example. By example I mean an example of a Christian woman. Eeek! I can tell you honestly that I never ever, EVER imagined myself as an "example" of a Christian woman. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before but I didn't grow up going to church every Sunday. Not that my parents didn't believe in God or anything. It just wasn't something that we did. I know my mom has told me that they went to church before I was born and when I was a baby and then they stopped going for some reason. I don't know the details about it.  Any who! Back to being an example. Growing up, I always knew about God even though I didn't go to church. One person specifically that was a wonderful example of a Christian woman to me was my Grandma Lucille. Sadly, she passed away during my teen years. Way before I started my adult journey as a Christian. I post...

Smokey No Liner- Liner

Welcome back! Thank you for joining me today. Did the title throw you off? How is a liner, liner without liner? I'm glad you asked. Haha! This is a trick I learned from MannyMUA on Youtube. I watched the video so long ago that I can't remember if the way I do it looks like his but either way, it is gorgeous. Yes, people. I did say "HIS" Manny is a super talented make up artist. Once you get over the "that guy is wearing makeup" you kind of get jealous because he looks so good! I'm not going to get into the whole- a guy wearing makeup thing. I appreciate his talent and the makeup he does is amazing! I've worn this look several times since I saw him do it and I always get compliments on how pretty it looks. Enough blabbing, Let's get smokey! I have already done my foundation, concealer, brows, bronzer, eyelid primer, and all- Basically, I am doing my eyes as the last step today. Take a piece of tape and apply it once or twice to th...
