Faithful Friday: Learning to Love

Hello everyone and welcome back to another Faithful Friday! I hope you had a good week so far. I am looking forward to the weekend. Is it just me or do the weekends seem to be over before we know it? haha! Anyway, today we are going to talk about "Learning to Love". You're probably thinking "What???" but trust me, I'm on to something here. I was thinking the other day of what things have been a struggle for me as a Christian. One thing that stood out in my mind was learning to love others. Believe it or not, this was a struggle for me. I had become a hardened person and I would very rarely let people get very close to me, I didn't really trust anyone, and I was just kind of mean. I can't pinpoint one cause for this behavior but I can say that during my life I have been let down and had my trust broken time and time again. When I decided to re-dedicate my life to the Lord I had a lot of changes to make and this was one of the first on the list. Y...

What's New Wednesday: Let's Talk

Hello everyone! Thank you for joining me today. Obviously you can tell from the title that I didn't have time to do another Halloween Tutorial for today. I am hoping to have time to get a few more up for you before Halloween. Anyway, let's get into to today's post.  As most of you know by now, I started listening to an audio book by Lisa Bevere called "Without Rival" I have really been enjoying this book so far and it has got me thinking about a lot of things lately. (Extra points for you if you know what movie this is from) The reason why I bring this up is because sometimes I feel like my past really hangs over my head and if I let myself I will get so wrapped up in thinking about it that I can't focus on what I need to be focusing on right now, and for me, that i...

Halloween Tutorial #2: Cheshire Cat

Hi everyone, I am back with our 2nd Halloween Tutorial! I thought this was such a great idea! I love when you can paint your face and not have to worry too much about Halloween Costumes because honestly, they're expensive and you'll probably only wear it once and be done with it. Before I forget to tell you... my ears are from Hobby Lobby. Right now all of their Halloween stuff is on sale so I snatched these little feather cat ears up because I thought they would be so cute for this tutorial.  Let's get started! I had to post this pic because I thought it was a really cool effect I got using my picture editing app. I think it makes the mouth look extra creepy and Tim Burton-ish. Here is a real picture of the final look. I am really happy with the way this look came out and I hope you enjoy it too! I applied this look right over the makeup I was wearing today that way I knew that you busy bee's (like me) could pull this look off if yo...
