Faithful Friday: New Year's Blessings

Happy New Year and Welcome back to another Faithful Friday! I hope you all had fun ringing in the New Year. Can you believe it's already 2016?!? I don't know about you but I feel like 2015 flew by SO FAST! Before I get started on this post I want to chat for a bit, if that's ok with you. If not, then scroll till you see the...  "THE REAL POST STARTS HERE" For those of you that don't mind my randomness, Do you make new years resolutions? If so, have you accomplished them? I am not a resolution setter. I guess because I have never really been the type of person to wait for things to happen (Impatient much?) If I want to start working out, I do it! If I want to start eating better, I do it! I don't wait till the new year to start. I do however make a point to be a better me each year. I don't know if that counts as a resolution or not, but I'm curious what kind of resolutions you've made and achieved or not achieved if you want to share th...

Monthly Favorites: December

Hey there! Can you believe that the end of 2015 is here already?? Holy smokes! This year flew by so fast! As you can see from the title, it is time for Monthly Favorites Again!!!! Yay! I love these posts because I like to talk about products I love. Like always, I will tell you a bit about each product and link to it below (or something similar if I can't find it) Drum Roll Please..... Intorducing The December Favorites Team! Favorite Candle: Meet my new friend, Glade Peace & Cherish. I stumbled across this little fella while in the grocery store with my Mom. I could not believe how wonderful and Christmas-y it smelled. Then I saw that it was on sale so of course I snatched this and another one up! I was so surprised by how strong this smells when it is lit. I was pleasantly surprised and now I will have to give these a whiff when new ones come out. Way to go Glade! http://www.glade.com/en/fragrances/collections/limited-edition-winter-collection/be-at-peace-and-cher...

Morphe 35W Palette: Swatches and First Impressions

Hi Everyone! Thank you for joining me today, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas weekend with your loved ones.  Today I am going to share 1 of 3 Morphe Palettes I recently purchased off Hautelook. I can show the other 2 palettes in separate posts if you show an interest in this one. So please let me know if you'd like that and I will post those soon!  This beauty is the 35W palette. As you can see here it is a mix of warm shades, hence the "W" in the name. You can't tell from the photo but this palette contains a mix of finishes as well. You will see what I mean in the swatches. Out of this entire palette there was only one dud and it just so happens to be the purple shadow right in the middle of this palette. In my swatch of this shade I was able to get some color pay off but it took me grinding my finger into the pan several times to get that much pigmentation and it wasn't impressive, especially when you compare it to the other gorgeous shado...

Makeup Towel Review

Hi everyone! Today I want to share something that I have found very useful AND it saves me money which makes it that much more exciting! Some of you may remember me mentioning these makeup towels in previous posts. I stumbled upon these in some random aisle at Walmart. I have heard rave reviews about the Makeup Eraser towel (that seems to always be sold out at Sephora) I actually had thought about investing in one (when they came back in stock) so I pounced on these when I saw them. Especially for the nearly $3 for 3 towels! I have to admit I was skeptical at first, I couldn't understand how a towel with no product on it would remove my makeup. Specifically my mascara. So I got them home, washed them, and then put them to the test. First impressions were that the towel is a very soft material, almost micro fiber like. There seems to be a slight difference in textures from one side of the towel to the other. I wet the towel up and started wiping it over my face, much like I woul...

Nightly Beauty Rituals

Hello again, Thank you for joining me today. I came across an article the other day on FB and it was talking about beauty rituals. It was an interesting article so I figured I would share mine with you today. These are little things that have become so routine that I don't even really think about doing them but they have a big impact on my beauty routine. I will list each ritual below and if I am talking about a specific product I will link to it if possible. Here we go... 1. Removing Makeup I never go to bed without my makeup on and I mean NEVER. I was really bad about this when I was younger. Then I got a horrible case of acne and that got me in the habit of washing my face every night before bed. Sure I will fall asleep on the couch but when I wake up I make sure to at the very least remove my makeup with a towelette of some kind. This only happens about 1 time every couple of months. Usually I will wash my face once I know I am in for the night. Then I do my entire night...

Faithful Friday: Live, Laugh, Love 12/18

Hello everyone and Happy Friday! Today we are going to talk about a little "life moto" of mine, at least I guess that's what you can call it. This moto is something I have adapted over the years and simply put, it makes my life much more pleasant! I will explain each of the words below, what it means to me, and how I apply it in my life. Presenting, Adela's Life Moto... Simple enough, right? I'm sure you have seen this saying somewhere (unless you've been living under a rock! haha) Now, let's break it down... ~Live~ Obviously, I am alive! But one thing I tend to do is to get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of life that I forget to LIVE my life. By that I mean that I don't stress if the dishes aren't done all of the time. I don't stress if laundry is piled up. I don't stress if the house isn't perfect. If I am tired or if I don't feel like doing chores- I don't! I have made it a habit of mine t...

SensatioNail Gel Nail Kit Review

Hello again! Today I am going to review The SensatioNail gel nail kit. This is NOT a sponsored post.  First let me give you a little background on this- I purchased this kit years ago when it first came out, used it I think once and that was it. I was pleased with the results and application was easy enough because I am pretty much a pro at painting my nails (hehe) What I didn't like about it was how stinking hard it was to remove the gel after 2 weeks or so! It was much easier for me to use plain ole nail polish and take it off with my trusty acetone rather than try to scrape, file, and chip away at the gels. So the kit found it's way into a dark corner of a room to be forgotten all about (poor kit). I will link to the kit below, I got mine at CVS because that was the only place near me that was selling this kit when it first came out, now they are available at CVS, Walgreens, and Target. http://www.cvs.com/shop/beauty/makeup/nails/sensationail-invincible-gel-po...

Makeup on Vanity

Good Morning and Happy Monday to you! First I would like to thank all of you for being so patient with me last week when I was sick. I am finally feeling better and am back in action! Today I will take you on a tour of my new vanity set up and show you what makeup I keep in here. These are the products that I reach for the most. Some of them will get switched out as seasons change but right now I have a good mix of things that I use a lot. Let's take a closer look at my set up and the goodies I have inside! Here is an over view of the area I will be showing you today. Right now I have this set up on my bathroom counter, which is where I get ready. Once the beauty room is complete I will move this into there. With the holidays and me being sick, the beauty room has been put on hold. Now that I am back in action, I will get back to work on it.  All of these acrylic organizers are from TJ Maxx. They were all very affordable and are great quality! One bit of ...

Faithful Friday: Power of Prayer

Hi and welcome back to another Faithful Friday! I hope you've all had a good week. Today we will be talking about the power of prayer. I wanted to share this today because as a Christian, I believe in the power of prayer. The reason why this has come to mind lately is because of my mothers recent surgery. As you can imagine, she was very anxious about the surgery. The Sunday before the surgery she went forward and was prayed over by our pastor and several other people from our church. She was in front of me and I had my hand on her back. When I was sitting there I started to get super warm all of a sudden. Like I felt a warmth flow all over my body, which is super rare for church because it is always cold in there! Much to my surprise, my mom said she felt the same thing. It was so cool!  One thing I want to be clear about is that we believe that GOD is our healer. We don't think that having people pray over you means that THEY are healing us or answering our praye...

Monthly Favorites: November

Hello again! It's time for favorites! I love these posts because they are full of products I have used a ton and know I like. I will link to everything I can below. I will link October's Favorites at the end of this post if you want to check that post out. Let's get started! Favorite Candle: You know I couldn't post a favorite's without a candle. This one is a huge favorite in The Adela Told Me House. We love this scent. The funny thing about this scent is that not very many people like it when they smell it but when people walk into my house and I have this candle lit they always LOVE the smell of it. I can't wait to put Wallflowers out in this scent. It's so good! http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=68484386&cp=12586994.12936192.4147333 Favorite Drink: I have blasted through a box of this tea like it's going out of style! It is a perfectly delicious blend of apple and cinnamon. I already ...
