Skincare Routine: Night Edition

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend!  While getting ready for bed the other night I decided to snap of pics and share my night routine with you. I struggled with acne when I was younger. It was during that time I realized how important it is to take care of your skin. This is what I do nightly to keep my skin healthy.  Let's get started... The first thing I do is remove my makeup. I switch up my cleansing towelettes often. These are the ones I am currently using. They are Refreshing Equate (Walmart brand). The package says they compare to Garnier. I take off all of my face makeup with these.  For my eyes I use Maybelline Clean Express Makeup Remover. This is the gel-like one. I believe the other one is more watery. I haven't tried that one yet because I love this one so much. It does not burn my eyes at all and takes off my mascara like a breeze! I put a small amount onto a cotton round, hold is over my eye for about 10 seconds, and gently wipe my makeup away.  Qu...

Fresh face/Quick and easy makeup

Hello and Happy Wednesday to you all!  This is my take on a fresh face of makeup.  Let's face it, we don't always have or feel like spending hours getting ready. Some days we need a get up and go routine. I'll show you how to accomplish this look in a few easy steps. No harsh liner or eye shadow here. Instead, a lightly defined eye and rosy cheeks. I've been wearing this look a lot lately.  Of course we start with the basics: a clean, moisturized face. Then apply your primer. No matter how much of a rush I'm in I always prime my face. Smoothing out the skin takes away the need for a full coverage foundation (unless you prefer that).  I've used this primer for about 2 weeks now. There are a lot of mixed reviews on it. I actually like it. It does have a very silky texture to it. I can't say that it "Erases pores" but it does have a smoothing effect to the skin.  Next apply concealer (Maybelline Fit Me in 15 Fair) to under your eye area in a triangle ...

Hair Tips

Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Today I'm going to talk about hair. First of all, let's discuss my hair. I've had mine long, short, and everything in between. Currently my hair is short. I have to say I am in LOVE with my short hair! My hair is very thick and has an ugly natural wave to it. (Seriously- it's ugly). So I have to style it no matter how long or short it is. This is my hair now... Isn't it beautiful?! I absolutely adore my hair stylist. She is a long-time friend which is a total bonus! If you're in the Sacramento area or willing to travel, you should look her up. She is the owner of Stella Salon, Leah Villagran.  Now let's talk products. These are the Shampoo and Conditioner I am currently using. Why so many? Because I like to switch it up! The L'Oreal (left side) are sulfate free. Which helps tame frizzy hair, like mine.  The Kevin Murphy (right side) were Christmas gifts from Leah (I'm telling you, the girl spoils...
