Adela's Favorites: Random

Welcome back!
I don't know about you but I like hearing about products people love. I decided to start a series on my favorites. Today will be my random favorites. Which is basically 10 products you don't really think about sharing with people because they seem so basic or un-interesting.

Here they are! My Random Favorites! Okay, okay, so you may have noticed in the photo that it's actually 11 products! But, I put two of them together because I use them together so that kinda counts as 1, right? Maybe not...just go with it!

Here we go, in no particular order...

#1. My favorite hairspray of all time! Tresemme Tres Two Spray. This is an aerosol spray. I can't live without this stuff. It lasts all day, isn't sticky or flakey, it's not overly scented, AND it's cheap! I always have a back up of this at all times. If you haven't tried it I highly recommend you do. It's great!

#2. My favorite hand and foot creme by Sally Hansen. I keep these on my nightstand and apply them every night before bed. These aren't too heavy or greasy so you can use them during the day if you need extra moisture. I've repurchase these many times.

#3. My favorite nail polish remover. Harmon brand (The drugstore inside Bed, Bath & Beyond)
This stuff is awesome! Takes off nail polish, glitter, even gel or shellac polishes like a breeze (you have to let it soak for shellac and gel) This is a drying formula as it's 100% acetone. So I recommend using a cuticle oil when you use this. It's cheap and it comes in a big bottle.

#4. My favorite lotion. I instantly fell in love with this stuff! I am the worst at applying lotion. 1. Because I am lazy 2. Because I don't like feeling sticky after. This product works exactly as it claims. You spray it on, rub it in, and go! No stickiness. No fuss. It's perfect for men too. I believe it comes in Coco Butter and original formulas as well. This is the only one I've tried so far. I definitely will repurchase.

#5. My favorite setting spray. MAC fix +. I am big on setting sprays. For those of you that don't know what they are...setting sprays are used after your makeup to set your makeup and help it last longer. It also takes away any powdery look from your skin. This one is my favorite because it sprays the perfect mist on your face and feels so soothing on the skin. I usually stick to drugstore makeup but this is one thing I don't mind spending a little more on. Ps. This is the travel size. I keep a larger one for my vanity. I'm using this little guy up but will keep the bottle to use for travel.

#6. My favorite lip balm/Chapstick. Nivea A Kiss of Milk & Honey. Amazing! Smells great and lasts a long time. I have these all over the house and in all my bags. I also like the lemon and olive oil one. Awesome product. I always have a few of these as back ups.

#7. My favorite eye roll on. Simple skincare Revitalizing eye roll on. I use this in the morning to de-puff and wake up my tired eyes. The roller ball is metal so it's nice and cooling. Perfect for summer but I use it year round. The formula is lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin so you can apply makeup over top.
I've had this one for months and there's still a ton of product left.

#8. My favorite face scrub. Lush's Ocean Salt. Love, love, love! Love the scent, love the way it makes my skin feel. This is a blend of fine and coarse salts mixed with a bunch of "good for your skin" ingridients. You can use it on your body too but I use something else for that which we'll get to next.

#9. My favorite body scrub. Tree Hut body scrub. I've tried many different scents of this product and they're all great. Very fine sugar is used for this scrub and it feels amazing on your skin. I use this on my legs before I shave to give me the closest shave possible. It comes in a huge tub and is very resonably priced.

#10. My favorite mascara. Clump Crusher by Covergirl. I've loved this stuff since the first time I used it. Great product. I love everything about this mascara. The brush is great, the color is a dark, rich, black, It doesn't flake off throughout the day, and most importantly it's buildable without clumping! If you haven't tried it I definitely recommend it.

That completes my 10 Random Favorites. I hope you enjoyed it and found a product or two that's new to you. What are some of your random favorites? I'd love to know.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
