Welcome back!
100 Barely Beige. This color is very interesting. It can look like a golden champane color and then a shimmery beige. I wear this as a base when my eyelid color is shimmery. It really brightens up the eye. I've even dabbed a tiny bit in the tear duct area as a highlight.
Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser (aka Primer) I know there's been a lot of mixed reviews on this one. But I like it. I wouldn't say it erases pores but it does give your skin a smooth finish and does a great job at concealing dry spots. You can also apply it after your moisturizer on days you don't want to wear makeup but want a smooth look on your skin.
This one is in Natural Shock. A great mix of browns. Now it says on the label that this was a limited edition product. But I'm sure they have something similar in the line if this isn't available.
These quads are also great. Unlike the eye studio quads these shadows are hit and miss as far as pigmentation is concerned.
This one is limited edition too! I know, I know! But I had to mention it. This gives a natural look and the peach shade is a beautiful blending color.
These are recent purchases and I can't wait to get my hands on more! Master Highlight in Pink Rose and Master Glaze in Just Pinched Pink. Both give a beautiful pink glow to the skin.
If there's one thing that I have a lot of it's their lipsticks. I've never had one I wasn't happy with. They always have great shades, are very moisturizing, and you can't beat the price.
"Love Me Some" is a new series I am starting. These will be one brand posts featuring products I like from each brand. Now, these aren't necessarily ALL of products I own of the particular brand just SOME of the products I own. (Just thought I'd clarify for those of you that haven't seen my makeup collection. Would you like a post on that? Let me know in the comments, if so)
Ok, enough blabbing. Let's get on to the post!
Today is I Love Me Some Maybelliene!
To be honest, I didn't realize how much Maybelline I had till I decided to do this post. I'll go through some of the products I enjoy and tell you a bit about each one.
Grab a snack, it's going to be a long one!
Be honest, have you sang the Maybelline Jingle in your head yet? "Maybe she's born with it. Maybe it's Maybelliene" haha! I know you did!
First up are the Color Tattoos. These claim to be 24 hour wear. Have I worn them for 24 hours? NO! Will I? NO! Or at least I'm not planning on it. These can be worn alone or can be used as awesome bases for eyeshadow. A little goes a long way with these. So start with a little bit and build up the color as you desire.
This shade is 20 Waves of White. This is an iridescent color. It gives a beautiful blue/purple shimmer. I've worn it under purple and blue shadows and it's gorgeous! The white in it really makes the color of the shadows pop.
25 Bad to the Bronze. This is the first color tattoo I ever purchased. You can see from the photo it's starting to dry out. But it's still very workable. This is a beautiful bronze color. For a quick eye look I apply Barely Beige in the inner corner to the outer 3rd. Then apply this shade to the outer corner and top them with coordinating shadows. Throw on some mascara and head out the door. Simple, quick, and effortless!
35 Tough and Taupe. This shade it totally matte unlike the others. I LOVE this shade! I've topped it with taupe, silver, brown, green, and purple shadows and it's always beautiful. It really darkens the shadow you apply over top.
Gel eye liners in Black and Brown. You can't go wrong with these. This is by far my favorite gel liner. I will never buy another high end liner. These are creamy, super pigmented, and long lasting. If you use gel I highly recommend these.
These are two concealers I use on a regular basis. Practically daily! Fit Me in 15 and Dream Lumi in Radiant. These are great. Fit me is lightweight but has great coverage. Dream Lumi is great for highlighting. Both are very blend able.
These are the dark circle erasers in Brightener, Neutralizer, and Fair. As you can see from the swatches the Brightener is a pink toned shade. I use it on my inner corner of my eye to brighten that area. The neutralizer is a yellow shade. This helps conceal a blue under eye area. Fair is a basic concealer shade. I use Fair on most days.
Eye Studio quads are great! They are all highly pigmented and the compact is a great size for traveling.
This one is in Sunset Sesuction. I mentioned this in my last Get Ready With Me Post. So be sure to check that out for more info.
This one was also limited edition. So I wont get too into this one. It's a great taupe quad.
I know this one is still available. This is a favorite of many. Natural Smokes quad. This is mine from when it first came out forever ago! You can tell it's been loved. I still use it on a regular basis and love it as much now as I did then. The cream color and brown are matte. The taupe and bronze are shimmer. You can get a lot of looks with this quad.
Almond Crush lipgloss. I can't remember what the actual name of this product is. But it's the one in the square packaging. I've worn this on it's own and on top of lipstick to add a bit of shine. It's a great color.
015 Born With It. This is a beautiful baby pink shade with the tiniest shimmers in it.
205 Nearly There. This is a light peachy/nude. It is shimmery as well.
820 Strike A Rose. Like the name implies it's a gorgeous rose, almost mauve color. This one isn't shimmery. It's more of a satin finish.
870 Afternoon Tea. This is a great matte. It's a "your lips but better" shade. Even though it's matte it is not drying at all. I've worn this alone and with a darker lip pencil underneath. Great color!
All in all, I'd say Maybelliene has a pretty well rounded line. I think it'd be very easy to put an entire look together with this one brand.
Phew! Are your eyes tried from reading all of that?
I hope you enjoyed it and were introduced to a new product or two from this line. Look for more of these in the future.
Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

I love your blog!... Question!, I need a primer/pore eraser and I've tried a bunch but haven't found one yet that I like. The last one I bought was from loreal and it was a bust! I've looked for the one in your blog but I can never find it...so, what are your favs? Low end and high end? And where have you bought them?. Thanks in advance :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm glad you enjoy it :) from the drugstore I use Maybelliene Baby Skin and Rimmel Fix and Perfect (white tube with blue cap) neither of them really hide pores. But L'Oreal Revitalift Miracle Blur does! I haven't really tried too any high end primers (other than Laura Geller) Hope that helps :)
