Get Ready With Me: Sunday Best

Hello again!
Hope you all had a great weekend. I don't know about you but sometimes I just cannot decide what to wear to Church on Sunday. Today's outfit was very comfortable and cute which is PERFECT for me. I snapped some quick photos while getting ready today to help you recreate it.

Let's get started...

I prepped my skin with L'Oreal Pore Vanisher. Then dabbed BareSkin foundation all over my face and buffed in with a Real Techniques Buffing Brush.

To brighten my under eye area, I applied Instant Age Rewind Concealer in the Brightening shade from inner corner and extended past my eye. Then to conceal I apply the Light shade right under my eye. I blended them in using light patting motions with my ring finger.

To conceal and lightly highlight, I applied Maybelliene Fit Me concealer around my nose, the bridge of my nose, forehead, and chin and blended with my middle fingers. Then set all of the concealed areas with elf HD under eye setting powder.

Now that the skin is done we can move on to brows. Using Miliani's Brow Fix in Light. Taking Brow 2 on an angeled bush I start with the arch and tail on my brow then continue working my way into the center. When I get to the inside of the brow, I go into Brow 1 and blend it into the darker color creating a natural, yet defined brow. I always finish my brows with a clear brow gel.

See the difference eye brows make? In the upper photo, my right brow is done and the left isn't. In the bottom photo they're both done. Makes a HUGE difference!

On to the eyes...

This is a L.E. Quad from Maybelliene. The name has worn off so I can't tell you that. I took the taupe shade and applied it all over the lid using a flat shader brush.  Then taking an angeld crease brush I applied the color to my crease and fades it up to the brow bone.

Taking the darkest shadow on a crease brush, apply it to the outer corner and bring it inwards. The easiest way to do this is to follow the natural contour of your eye socket. You want the darkest color in the deepest part of the socket. You'll notice how harsh I applied it. Which brings is to our next step...blending.

Using this light gray shadow and a big fluffy brush I blended the shadows till I got the look I wanted. Don't be discouraged if blending is hard for you. It's easiest when you have a lighter shadow to help blend. I used the white shade on a flat shadow brush as my highlight.

To finish my eye look I smudged the darkest shadow along the lower lash line. Curled my lashes. And applied Maybelliene Blackest Black gel liner using a fine Real Techniques brush.

For mascara I used Miss Manga. I really doubt I'll repurchase this but it's open so I might as well use it, right?

I applied a light dusting of PF Happy Booster Hearts in the areas I'd usually contour. Then applied Milani's Delizioso Pink to the apples of my cheeks.

Outfit details:
Top: Gap
Jeans: Old Navy- Diva straight leg. I cuffed them to make this a more summery look.
Sandals: Target-Merona
Bauble Necklace and Bracelet: Shop Lately-Glint and Gleam.

I forgot to mention my lip color! I used Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop.

I was really happy with this outfit. It's cute, stylish, and comfortable.

I hope you all enjoyed this. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Until next time...

Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
