I went shopping! Walgreens

Hello again,
Today I stopped by Walgreens to pick up some necessities. I browsed around and much to my surprise, didn't find a single makeup item I wanted. That doesn't happen very often. I did however, spot some of the old Sally Hansen Pacific Blue polishes but I didn't get them. Anyway, let's talk about what I got.

I've checked these soaps out a few times in the past but never purchased them. Today they were on sale- Buy 2 get 1 free. So I decided to pick a few up. I picked the ones that seemed the most moisturizing. These bars are fairly large (8oz.) and priced at $5.49 a piece. I don't know what it is about using "fancy" soaps but it's a craze in my house lately. I'll let you know what we think of these.

This was one of the items on my list. Well not this product specifically, but I'm almost out of my day time moisturizer. I picked this up because it is oil free and has SPF 15 in it. I tried some on my hand and it rubbed in quickly but it does have that nasty SPF smell! I have a feeling I will be taking this back. I can't stand smelling that smell all day. And in the past lotions with that scent don't perform well with makeup over top. I'll let you know how it goes.

I've scrubbed all I can scrub out of my last pumice stone. And since I'm changing the polish on my toes fairly often a new pumice stone is a must!

All the Garnier products we're on sale- Buy 1 get 1 50% off. I don't know if it's my age or the weather but I've been battling dryness lately. I picked these two up because I figured I cause the cream cleanser for dry days and the combination one when my skin is its normal self. I've never tried these so I'm looking forward to using them.

Here's the back of the bottles for those of you that are interested. Am I the only nerd who reads the entire bottle of any new products I get?

Let me know if you've tried any of these products.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

*DISCLAIMER: All products mentioned were purchased with my own money.

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
