Empties- Products I've used up!

Hello again!
Since my last empties post I've gone through quite a few products. And yes, I got a smaller bag to keep my empties in. As you can see, I still had a ton! I figured I'd share them to hold you over till I get my first "real" post up.
So, without further adieu...here we go!

Told ya! A TON of empties! As always, I'm going to briefly describe each product, what I thought about it, and if I'll repurchase.

Covergirl Bombshell Liquid Liner in Chocolate Kiss-
The first tube of this was awesome! It's so dark that it almost looks black on the lid. Lasts a long time, applicator is a felt tip, the formula is very watery so it takes some time to get used to. I loved it so much and it lasted for a few months. It started dragging so I picked up another one. The second tube lasted maybe a month and the formula just seemed off. It wasn't watery and was dragging across my lid. I couldn't deal with it so I tossed it. Maybe I got a bad tube? Who knows. But I have yet to repurchase. I'm going to see what else is out there before I think about buying another one.

Prestige BrowPerfection Clear Brow Gel-
This is the second tube of this I've used. I like it. However, I'm only able to find it at a Bed, Bath & Beyond that isn't near me so I've moved on to something else. If you fill in your brows I'm sure you're aware of how disgusting a clear brow gel gets fairly quickly after opening it. I'd want to throw the product out long before it was empty because of the brown tint it gets from the brow product. Eww! I won't repurchase because I like my current brow gel better.

Oh concealers, how I love thee! From left to right:
Maybelliene Age Rewind in Brightening-
This tube was faulty from the start. Don't worry, I emailed Maybelliene and they sent me a coupon to make up for it. I took the sponge tip off because I find it easier to use that way. I prefer to use my fingers when applying this product.
Covergirl- I can't remember what this one was called. It was OK. I prefer the Fit Me over this. I won't repurchase.
Maybelliene Fit Me in shade 15-
Love, love, love this stuff! Use it everyday. It has great coverage. It's lightweight. It's blendable. I will continue to repurchase till  I find something better.

These little razors come a few to a pack. They're great for any kind of facial hair you may have. I use them for quick touch ups on my brows when I don't have time to tweeze them. Which is a process! I don't know about you but sometimes I feel like my eyebrows take the most time of my whole beauty routine.

I laughed when I saw how many mascaras I'd gone through. Left to right:
Covergirl Clump Crusher-
love it. No need to go on about it. Always have a tube of this ready to go.
The next two are Wet n Wild- garbage! They smell foul! They had a terrible formula and brushes. Will not repurchase. Save you money!
Covergirl Bombshell-
I liked this. But I didn't repurchase.
L'Oreal Miss Manga-
This one was a total surprise. I wasn't too thrilled with it at first but I grew to love it. I've since repurchased and I'm not liking it again. The formula is nice but I've noticed it flaking off throughout the day. I can't stand when mascara flakes! I probably won't repurchase.

EOS Lip Balm and Hand Cream-
I've yet to try an EOS product that I didn't love! I also finished a bottle of their shave cream which I had to cut open to finish. Great products. Will continue to repurchase.

elf Daily Brush Cleaner-
I use this for the brush I apply gel liner with. Otherwise the brush gets stiff and un-usable. Works great, smells cologne-y. and is cheap. I've repurchased already.

Garnier Moisture Rescue Gel Cream-
This product feels cooling when you apply it. It didn't do a thing to help with my dry skin. I finished the tub but will not repurchase.

Bodycology Toasted Vanilla Sugar Body Wash (Travel size)-
I got this for Christmas and I do like the scent. I can't say that I like it so much that I'll go out and buy a full size. But it was nice while it lasted.

Toms Whole Care Toothpaste-
Love it. Tom's is the only toothpaste we use. Great stuff. Will continue to repurchase.

Secret Cocoa Butter Kiss Deodorant-
Is this weird to share? haha! I always use this brand. Have tried it in a ton of different scents and I'm always pleased. Will continue to repurchase.

Foaming Hand Soaps-
Love them both. I always keep foaming hand soap on hand. I've tried several brands. I find that the foaming kind is easier for the little ones to use.

My beloved hair spray-
Do I really need to go on a tangent with this one? You guys know how much I love this stuff!

Up & Up (Target Brand) Invigorating Facial Cleanser-
I really enjoyed this stuff. This was the 2nd bottle I've used. I would repurchase.

L'Oreal Sulfate Free Shampoo and Conditioner-
I got this because it's cheap and it's sulfate free. I've already repurchased these. They smell great and they make my hair soft and smooth.

Softsoap Coconut Island Quench Body Wash-
This smells so good! We loved it! I will definitely repurchase.

Equate Original Clean Towelettes-
Will never repurchase! These burned my eyes, hardly took my makeup off, and dried out very quickly. I picked them up because they two pack was cheap. BIG MISTAKE!

Beauty Concepts Naked Eye Pads-
Really enjoyed these. I try to use these or something similar on a weekly basis. I pick all of this kind of mask up at TJ-Maxx. They have a great variety and you can't beat the price. Will definitely repurchase when they have them again.

I don't remember the brand of this mask but it is by far my favorite! Another TJ-Maxx find. I will be keeping an eye out for these. Great for dry skin.

That's all of my empties! If you have any questions about any of the products mentioned, please let me know. Be sure to check back regularly. I have some pretty exciting posts coming!

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

  1. Wet n wild mascara is pure crap. I don't understand it since everything else they make is great. You sure did go through a bunch of stuff. I really do love these posts. HUGS

    1. 100% waste of money!! And I love so many of their other products. I tried using them so many times and once they started to smell toxic I tossed them. I wonder if I just go through an insane amount of products or if most of us do and just don't realize it?? Might be an interesting experiment :)

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
