BoxyCharm: Jingle Belles

Hello!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend so far. I received my December box yesterday. I was SO excited to get my grubby hands on this box. Specifically the eye shadow palette. You'll see why in a minute.
On to the box!

Here's what the box looks like when you open it...

Here is the list of products...

As always, I will start from the top of the list.

Coastal Scents Revealed Palette-
Start screaming NOW! This palette is gorgeous! I've only swatched a few shadows from it and I was blown away by the pigmentation. It contains 20 nude and metallic finishes. I can't wait to play with this baby!

Lina Lashes Luxury Mink Lashes-
Beautiful and glamorous lashes these definitely won't give you a natural looking lash but they will be perfect for a special occasion. I've heard these can be used way longer than drug store lashes so we shall see!

Mistura Beauty Solutions Retractable Beauty Brush-
I was looking forward to this too. I have owned a few of these types of brushes in the past. BUT this thing smells SO BAD! It smells like a mixture of gasoline and WD-40! I'm hoping once I wash it the smell will go away. If not, this thing will not go anywhere near my face.

Be A Bombshell Lip Product-
This is a jumbo lip pencil with a twist up applicator. I really like the color and can see myself using it a lot. It does have kind of a funky smell to it but it's not detectable on the lips.

Eva NYC Hair Products-
This is a trial size of the Hold Me Tight Hairspray. It seemed to hold my style in place (I had used a different hairspray earlier in the day) I didn't really care for the smell but hey, it's nice to have a small size like this to keep in my purse during this time of year when my hair is frizzy.

So what did you think? Have I sold you on subscribing to BoxyCharm yet? Haha! I have to say they redeemed themselves with this box. WAY better than last months! If you'd like to see a more in depth review of any of these products please let me know!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
