Hello Everyone!
Thank you for joining me today. Today I will take you along as I get ready for a casual Saturday. Nothing fancy here, folks! I keep it to jeans and a T-shirt most days.

Thank you for joining me today. Today I will take you along as I get ready for a casual Saturday. Nothing fancy here, folks! I keep it to jeans and a T-shirt most days.
Here we go!
I don't have an "official vanity" set up yet. I have some makeup that I use on a regular basis on my counter top in my bathroom. I am working on getting an actual blogging area set up so in a few months I will move. Until then, this is what I'm working with. The organizer is from Lakeside Collection. I believe it was about $15. The mirror is double sided, one is regular view, the other is magnified. I found it at TJ Maxx for about $10.
I already moisturized my face. I prepped my skin with Baby Skin and my under eye area with this primer from elf. My under eyes have been extra dry lately so I need all the moisture I can get!
I've been using a salon tone concealer under my eyes lately. I have serious dark circles and this helps color correct that area. I wasn't sure about this technique but I notice a huge difference in my dark circles when I use this.
Then I will layer Maybelline Fit Me in shade 15 over top and blend using this Real Techniques Sponge. I know that looks like a TON of concealer but I use it in this way to highlight and conceal my red areas. Next time you see me in person go ahead and look up close, you won't be able to tell!
The first thing I do when I finish blending is set my under eyes with powder. I love this powder! It's lightweight and holds up nicely throughout the day. If you have fine lines, like I do- it is very important to blend your concealer in, keep looking up (to keep your under eyes smooth- meaning the concealer won't have a chance to settle into your fine lines) then powder the area before you look forward again. I'm telling you...this works!
On to foundation. I went back to Bare Minerals a few months ago. I used to wear this years ago. Then my skin started changing so I switched to something else. I love the way this makes my skin look. It gives you a natural but even coverage. It is build-able so you can get a pretty full coverage with it if you build it up.
Next I set my foundation with Mineral Veil. I use a very light hand when applying this. I concentrate mainly on my T-zone and then buff out to the sides of my face. If you are combo or even oily skin then I highly recommend using this to set your foundation.
I do have a bit of a sunless tan going on right now so I've been lightly contouring and bronzing my face with this and I mean LIGHTLY!
Next I primed my lids with my trust Milani primer. This is the same tube I'v'e been using for months and I still have a ton of product left in here. If you're looking for a good drugstore primer- I highly recommend this one.
Oh the brows! The most time consuming part of my routine. I skipped over this part because I have shown how I've done my brows in the past. I think the only thing that's changed is that I don't use the brow wax anymore. I thought it looked too harsh when I used it.
Now we can move on to shadows. Yay! I picked this up a few weeks ago at Walmart. I really love the colors in this palette. My only complaint is there is only one matte shade in this whole palette so I find the need to mix this with another palette that contains more matte shades in it.
In this case, I pulled out The Nudes palette. These two work great together because this has the right about of matte browns and a great matte ivory shade. I know there has been a lot of mixed reviews on these palettes but all in all, I like them.
I've been applying a shadow similar to this all over my lid to help me blend faster. I simply take this on a big fluffy brush and sweep it from lash line to crease.
I took this rose-y matte shade in The Blushed Nudes Palette and applied that at my transition color.
Using a flat shadow brush I applied this rose/gold/bronze color all over the lid. I took my time and really packed this color on.
To darker the outer corner, I took this medium matte brown from The Nudes Palette on an angled shadow brush.
And we blend!
Highlight the brow bone using this shimmery ivory shade.
I highlighted my inner corner with this gold champagne color.
I lightly lined my upper and lower lash line with this darker matte brown.
Then blended using the same rose gold color I put on the lid.
Lashes!
For blush I used this peachy pink Tarte blush.
I've been all about effortless lips lately. So of course I went with my favorite glosses of all time...NYX Butter Gloss in Vanilla Cream Pie.
Set everything with setting spray.
Spritz on a bit of perfume. I like this when I want to smell good without smelling like I'm wearing perfume. This is a beautiful fragrance. If you like light, clean, yet feminine scents. Definitely give this a sniff next time you're in Ulta or Sephora.
Details on my outfit:
T-Shirt~ Vintage relaxed fit from Old Navy
Jeans~ Rockstar from Old Navy (I always cuff them)
Converse~ These are slip ons I got off Hautelook. You can't tell from the pic but they have a light lace pattern on them. So cute!
As I said before, my style is very relaxed and casual. Sure I love to get dressed up, but my favorite way to be is exactly this...Classic Adela Style
Now I'm off to enjoy the day! I hope you enjoyed this post. Please let me know what you thought in the comments section below. I hope you have a wonderful day.
Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela
