Matte Eyes and Pink Lips

Hello again,

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you all had a great weekend. I was able to check a few thing off my Thanksgiving and Christmas Lists and get some organizing done in the beauty room.
Today I will show you how I created this matte eye look. Something about a matte eye and and rosy pink lip is so appealing to me.

Here is a picture of the finished look...

Let's take a moment to appreciate when the wings of your liner match...YESSS!!!!

I chose my handy little Too Faced Natural Matte palette because it takes the guess work out of which shadows to use. Not to mention that the shadows are awesome in this! It can be a powdery so make sure to tap off your brush before you apply or lay down a nice layer of translucent powder to your cheek bones before you start shadows.

I applied "Heaven" all over my lid as a base.

Applied a good amount of "Cashmere Bunny" in the crease and blended back and forth. My biggest tip on applying eyeshadows is to BLEND. I made sure to go back and forth using windshield wiper motions to make this color as smooth as possible.

Time to get raunchy, haha! This shade "Expresso" is really a beautiful, dark brown. I applied this to the outer corner and crease with a pencil brush. I used a pencil brush for this because I wanted a lot of control over where I applied the shadow.

Here I am blending out the shadows till I had zero harsh lines. For this look I wanted the shadows to look like a gradient of dark to light brown so I really took my time to blend, and blend, and blend!

I wanted my inner corner really bright but without shimmer so I went in with this matte white shadow.

I applied my black liquid liner, mascaras, and nude liner.

I don't have a picture of me applying this to my lower lash line because I forgot to do it! I went straight in with mascara and then had to put the shadow on after. Which I hate doing!

I applied the gorgeous blush!

And we can't forget the highlight!

I lined and filled in my lips with this pencil. It came in a BoxyCharm and it does not have a name on it. I believe it was a universal shade. I applied this LaLacque over the top. I love this color!

Then I spritzed my face with setting spray and I was done.

Here are a few more pictures of the finished look...

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. There is something about a nude eye that I love! It is so classic and beautiful! and what about that lip color? It's my favorite right now!
Thank you for taking the time to read this post, I will see you back on Wednesday!

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
