Faithful Friday: Fruit of The Spirit: Faithfulness

Hello everyone!

I hope you've all had a good week so far. The end of our FOTS Series is quickly approaching! I can't believe it. Before we get started, I have to ask...Have you all been keeping up with your fruits?? I can honestly say that I have been. So I will give myself a pat on the back for that. haha! The hardest part for me is to keep my cool when I am being tested. I tend to be a bit of a fire cracker from time to time. I mean, I am known as the Drill Sergeant in my family and that title didn't come from being a sweet pea. So sometimes it is REALLY hard for me to bear these fruits. But I have to admit that I am so proud of myself when I overcome those obstacles by maintaining an attitude that is pleasing to The Lord.

Today we are talking about Faithfulness
While I think all of these fruits are important I feel like this one is especially important. Because if you really think about it. We can't really show these if we aren't faithful, right?

The definition of "Faithfulness" is- The quality of being faithful, fidelity.

To most people the first thing that comes to mind when they hear this word is a relationship like "Is your husband faithful?" This is a worldly kind of faithfulness. We are talking about the biblical kind of faithfulness. We as Christians are in a relationship with God. No matter what, He is faithful to us. Yet, are we that faithful in return? Of course, the answer is no because we cannot ever be that perfect, but we should strive to be as much like Him as we can.

How can we apply this to our daily lives?
A HUGE part of me being able to maintain these fruits or "attitudes" as I like to call them, over the past few weeks is to be faithful to God. I remind myself constantly, of how far I have come because of His works in my life. I did not come this far to give up now! I refuse to let whatever problem I face to tear me down, to set me back, or to make me feel regret. No way! No how! I know I have said this to you before, but I want to say it again in case this is your first time joining us for a Faithful Friday. The closer you get to the Lord, the more the devil wants to rip you apart. You are constantly in the midst of a war, as a Christian. The devil wants you back (remember, we were all sinners at one point) he wont stop trying to attack you, sending people or circumstance into your life to take your focus off of God, This is how I feel it is, at least for me, I wake up in the morning and I pray for God's protection and guidance for the day ahead of me- by doing this I am putting on my armor of God. So I get up, shield in hand. Before I take my first step, there goes the devil firing off arrows at me. I can either drop my shield and let them take me down. OR I can hold on tight to that shield and fight my way through the day. Now that you have an awesome picture of me as a knight in shining armor. (do I look good or what? haha!) You need to realize this: I am not holding a psychical shield. I am holding on to God's truth, I am holding on to His promises, I am holding on to His faithfulness.
You see one thing I have realized over my years of growth is that I have to be faithful to God in order to receive His faithfulness in return.

Man! There are some FF that I really feel like I knock it out of the park and this was one of them. I hope you feel the same haha!
Continue to make these part of your daily lives, friends! I like that we are learning and growing together with this series.

I hope you all have a great weekend and I will see you back on Monday.
Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...
