Adele Inspired Look

Hello everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day! Over the weekend I watched Adele's Concert on TV. I LOVE Adele! Her voice, her makeup, her hair are always fabulous! Her makeup was so gorgeous that I was itching to wear a winged liner! I don't know about you, but I think there is something so glamorous about a winged liner. This is my Adele Inspired Look...

I wanted to focus on this look to be the liner that she is known for so I decided to keep the eyeshadow simple, the cheeks neutral, a lovely highlight, and nude lips. Believe it or not, this look was super fast to do! Which was good for me because now I can wear this look more often.

Here's how I created this Adele Inspiried Look...

I primed my lids with this primer. This is a really nice a affordable primer. I've had this tube for over a year and I still have a good amount left in this tube.

I'm using a Morphe Palette today because it has the perfect shadows.

I applied this cream shadow on my entire lid with a flat brush.

I applied this tan shadow in the crease and blended it up towards my browbone using a fluffy brush.

I applied this medium brown shadow to the outer corner. I only added enough of this shadow to give some definition to the eye but I didn't want it so dark that it would take away from the liner. Then I blended the shadows together using the fluffy brush I used up above.

Adele had a beautiful shimmery shadow on her lids during the concert. I haven't looked up the exact shadow so I used this shade but it was a shimmery peach/gold shadow. This color is similar but not as shimmery as hers was (I really need the name of that shadow!) I patted this over my entire lid using a flat shadow brush.

Her lower lashline had almost a gray looking shadow smudged along it but again, I haven't looked up the shadows they used for her look so I decided to go with this plum/bronze shadow for my look.

I curled my lashes with my awesome new curler, applied my liner, and a healthy coat of mascara on the upper and lower lashes. I was going to wear falsies with this look but I couldn't find my lash glue! Boo!!

To add a beautiful flush to the cheeks, I swept on Milani's Romantic Rose Blush.

Then I applied Mary Lou-Manizer Highlight to the tops of my cheek bones. I added a touch more highlight than I usually would because Adele's highlight was bangin'!

I lined and filled in my lips with Jordana's Easy Liner for Lips in Tawny and went over the top with Milani's Nude Creme Lipstick- which smells like watermelon and is SO comfortable on!

And I was done! Here are some different shots of the finished look...

I love the simplicity of this look... It's classic!

I am really happy with the way this look came together. There is something so beautiful about a winged liner and a nude lip together. I love it!

I hope that you all enjoyed this post. As you can tell, I'm obsessed with it! For those of you that don't know, I do a mean lip sync of Adele and this look takes me one step closer to mastering it. Haha!

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
