Get Out of Your Own Way

Hey everyone!
I was watching a vlog the other day and the person on that vlog asked this question and it got me thinking. So I decided to ask you all as well as see what your answers are.
The question was:
What would you do if you weren't afraid to do it?
I wracked my brain trying to find at least one thing that I would do if I weren't scared. Then I realized this, I had thought about blogging for the longest time but I never did. I was too afraid to put myself on social media. I was too afraid of being judged. I was too afraid of no one wanting to hear what I have to say. I could go on and on about the reasons I had to not blog. And you know what?! Blogging has been one of the most fun and rewarding things I have done in my life! I love sharing with you all. I love when you interact with me. Finding a new product to share with you all is so much fun! I would hate to have chosen not to dive into the world of blogging because that means I couldn't share my passion with you. And we can't forget Faithful Friday's! Without those, I wouldn't have a place to share my faith with the world!

So the point of this rambling message is this, don't limit yourself! Don't let fear rob you of having something as enjoyable as blogging is to me!

One thing I want to mention is that I did not plan on having any part of my faith in my blog when I started. But a few years ago the Lord gave me a vision of sharing faith based posts and you all have seen how much I've grown from that! I have reached so many people through blogging that I would might never have otherwise. I mean, I got to talk about my blog at church! How awesome is that?!

So ask yourself the question above:
What would YOU do if you weren't afraid?
Really think about it and ask yourself what is stopping you from doing that thing? GET OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY!

That's all I have for today, friends! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I will see you back on Monday.

Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
