Faithful Friday: People Will Fail You. God Will Not.

Hello & Welcome back to another Faithful Friday,
I hope you have had a good week so far. I am going to jump right in to today's topic.
"People Will Fail You. God Will Not"

I have come to realize over the years of being a growing Christian that people will fail you throughout your life. I can't tell you how many times I have been let down by loved ones. Sometimes you see a side of people that you never wish you saw. The hard thing about that is that it is very hard to get passed that fact that you know that side of them exists. But that isn't the point of today's topic.
I know that we are supposed to love each other like God loves us. That can be really hard to do at times! I am the kind of person that over thinks pretty much everything. If I let myself, I will become so obsessed with something that I can't think about anything else. Which means I don't focus on God. Huge problem for me! I can't have my focus taken off of Him because without Him as my focus, I might as well through in the towel.

So I had to come up with something I could do to stop being so obsessed over people failing me. No matter what the situation might be, I don't react right away. Meaning, I don't lash out at people who let me down. I try to remove myself from the situation and take time to think about it and most importantly, pray about it. It really helps me to remind myself that no matter what people do (or don't do) that let me down. God has never failed me and He never will! Take a minute to think about that...
Isn't that AWESOME! I get so excited and happy when I think about that. He is the only one, in my entire life that I can ALWAYS count on to NEVER fail me! or you!

That is all I have for today. I hope that you enjoyed this post.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
