Talk The Talk and Walk The Walk

Hello again and happy Friday to you!
You all know that I have been going through some changes lately. Actually, it's not lately. It's been going on for the past couple of years haha!
Today I want to share a little bit about my walk to hopefully encourage some of you. Before I start I want to share something. Sometimes when in preparing Faithful Friday's a different idea will pop into my mind and I start typing away on my phone. This is one of those posts. So it might be a ramble but stick with me and hopefully it will make sense in the end. Lord help us! (Seriously)

Here we go...
I saw this on Pinterest and I thought it was great!

Don't be afraid to ask the Lord for blessings. No matter what it might be, nothing is too big for Him. NOTHING! I've prayed for healing, prayers answered. I've prayed for change, prayers answered! I can't even tell you how many things I have prayed for over the years that have been answered. I am so blessed and I want to share my blessings with others. I want others to see something different in me. I want others to feel the love of Jesus through me. I started praying for this years ago and I have changed in several ways since then. Off the top of my head, I used to feel so awkward talking about my faith in front of others now I do it without realizing it. I pray won't out limiting myself. Meaning that I don't hold back when asking the Lord for something. He knows my heart anyway so why try to "hide" it. Haha!
What I'm trying to say is- if you ask Him to bless you then make sure you're prepared to go out into this world and shine your light. Just remember if you talk the talk (aka pray for it) then be prepared to walk the walk (do the work He's going to give you to do)

That's all for today. I hope you enjoyed this post. Have a good weekend! I'll see you back on Monday.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
