Get Ready With Me: Errands and Lunch

Hello again,
Hope you all are having a great weekend!
I was starting to get ready to head out and I thought I'd share my look. It's been in the 70's here so I was more than ready to busy out sandals and short sleeves.
Let's get started...

First up- Washing my face! I mentioned this face wash in my morning skincare routine. Be sure to check that out for more info on it.

Next, I prepped my face by applying these three loves. If you'd like more info. on these let me know.

Primed my skin using my Ethereal Spackle by Laura Geller. This gives your skin a beautiful glow.

I allow my primer to settle into the skin for a minute or two before applying concealer. Isn't my face lovely? My Mom called me while I was shooting this. Haha! I used Maybelliene Dark circle eraser and Dream Lumi. I used a Sigma P-80 to blend it out. If you haven't tried Sigma brushes, I highly recommend them. They are definitely worth the investment.

To set my concealer and even out my skin tone I applied a light layer of Laura Geller- Balance n Brighten all over.

I filled in my brows using my Prestige- Brow Perfection pencil and gel.

Prepped my lids with Jordana eyeshadow pencil in Continuous Almond.

Now for my favorite part...eyeshadow!
Today I used the Maybelliene Eye Studio quad in Sunset Seduction.

Using a flat shadow brush I applied the white shade to my inner corner and brought it onto the center of the lid. Also highlighted my browbone.

Using a big fluffy brush I applied the coral color into my crease.

I applied this taupe shade to the outer half of my lid and blended it into the white shade.

Taking the dark brown on a crease brush I applied it to the outer corner and crease.

Using a big fluffy brush again...Blend, blend, BLEND!

Take the darkest brown shade on a smudge brush and apply it to the lower lash line.

Curled my lashes!

Applied liquid liner to the upper lash line.

Lined my waterline with a nude pencil.

Applied my favorite mascara.

I've been loving the blush lately. Maybelliene Pink Rose blush with a Real techniques Blush Brush.

Applied NYX Butter Gloss in Tiramisu. These smell like vanilla and are so nice on. Not greasy or sticky. I'm definitely going to get more colors. Set my foundation with NYX Dewey Finish setting spray.

TA-DA! Face is done!

Today's outfit is skinny jeans, coral t-shirt, and tan braided sandals (Target) , tribal printed scarf (Walmart), pink rose earrings and hammered silver bangles (Forever 21)

Perfume today is Pacifica Island Vanilla. One of my favorites!

And I'm done!

I put a little cuff on my skinnies to make it more spring-y.

Incase you were wondering...this is where I get ready in the morning. I keep the make up I use on a regular basis in this vanity organizer (Lakeside Collection) I pull out the brushes I'll use before I get ready (Lower left). The little razor (middle) is what I use to trim any stray eyebrows before I apply my makeup. The makeup mirror (TJ MAXX) is what I use when applying my makeup. And yes, I'm making a goofy face again. Haha!

Well, this wraps up my get ready with me. I'm headed out to run errands and have lunch with my Momma! I hope you guys enjoyed it and have a great rest of the weekend.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
