Welcome to my first recipe post!
Until next time...
Tonight I made this awesome shredded beef in the crockpot and it was a big hit so I decided to share.
Bust out that crockpot and let's get cookin'...
Ingredients:
Roast (I used two for plenty of left overs)
Medium yellow or white onion
3 cans of diced green chilies
Seasonings: Season Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Salt (you could use taco seasoning but I didn't have any on hand)
Water
Directions:
The night before season your roast with season salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cover with plastic wrap.
In the morning, slice your onion and separate about 1/2 in the bottom of your crockpot.
Don't forget to spray the inside with Pam!
Place your roast(s) on top.
Cover with remaining onion slices.
Pour 3 cans of green chilies on top.
Pour 1 cup of water in.
Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hrs (depending on size of meat)
Shred with two forks and you're done!
You can use it for burritos, tacos, anything you like! I served mine with sour cream, hot sauce, and shredded cheese.
I didn't take any pics because when it's time to eat in my house, we get down to business!
I hope you guys give it a try. If you do, please let me know how it turns out.
Xoxo,
Adela
