New Product: ELF HD Undereye Setting Powder

Hello again!
I have been wanting to try this product since it came out. However, I don't like ordering online (eyeslipsface.com) unless I need/want a lot of products. My local Target just got these in so I grabbed one as soon as I saw it. This is what it looks like in the packaging...

You may have noticed the box says "brush included". Let's talk about that for a minute. (Get ready for a gripe) ELF, What exactly am I supposed to do with this teeny-tiny brush??? Do you really think that it going to help me achieve anything under my eye? Maybe if I want a heavy and cakey under eye area. But for this product I prefer a much lighter application. So I use this brush instead...

This is the Real Techniques Setting Brush. I sprinkle a small amount of the product in the lid and swirl around then lightly apply under my eye in a triangle.

This is what the product looks like out of the packaging. See what I mean about the brush? One thing you can use it for is an on-the-go lip brush or for a small detail (inner corner) brush. Or toss it!

I am really happy that this product has a sifter in it. So far I've been pleased with this product. One thing I will mention is that there are actual pieces of glitter (small but still) in the powder. You cannot detect it on the skin. I have heard that if you are in the sun, you can see them close up. I haven't noticed that yet.

So would I recommend this product?
Yes, I think it is a great product. It sets my under-eye concealer and doesn't make my aging skin look dry or tired. The only thing is that I wish it came in a larger size. I'm curious to see how long this lasts me.

Let me know if any of you have tried this product and what you think of it.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
