Bronze Eye: Using MAC Shadows

Welcome back!
This is a look I wore to my friends wedding last summer. I was inspired to recreate it today because the shirt I'm wearing reminds me of the bridesmaid dress I wore (Tiffany Blue) Here is a pic of my beautiful friend and I on her special day...

Of course, I was wearing falsies and more eyeliner then but today I'm making it more wearable (Shown below). Here's how...

These are the shadows I'll be using. They are all MAC. I know they're pricey but these shadows are beautiful! I've gotten a lot of use out of them since the wedding.

Taking Wood Winked on a flat shader brush, apply it all over the lid. Slightly bringing it into the crease.

Take Soft Brown (obsessed with this shade) on a fluffy brush and apply it in the crease. This is a great color! I've used it in several looks to warm it up. Now you could totally stop here if you want to. I'm going to add a darker shadow in the crease to give the look more dimension.

Using a small crease brush. Apply Charcoal Brown to the outer corner and crease. You can use as little of as much as you like to get the desired look you want. I used it lightly because I'm just running errands today.

Dazzle Light is probably my favorite highlight shade ever!! It's so pretty! If you're ever near a MAC store, go in and swatch it. I applied this under my brows and to the inner corner.

I smudged Wood Winked on my lower lashline.

Lined my eyes with my new L'Oreal Smoldering Eyeliner in brown.

That's it! I'm off to run errands. Hope you enjoyed this look and have a great weekend!

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
