I Went Shopping: Rite Aid (yes, again!)

Hello again,

Hope you all had a good week. I don't know about you, but I am ready for the weekend!
I just so happened to be near my favorite Rite Aid so naturally, I couldn't resist! I picked up a few goodies that I had been wanting for some time now because they were finally on sale. If you've been wanting any of these now is the time to go! Rite Aid has Physicians Formula on a buy one get one FREE! We'll talk more about that in a minute.

On to the goodies!

This was the first thing on my list.

Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Illuminating Bronzing Veil. In a nut shell, they are bronze little hearts they just came out with.

Let's look inside, shall we?

Aren't they adorable!?! When I saw these I had to have them. They smell amazing! Apparently, the scent of the product is was boots your mood. I don't know if that's true or they're counting on the fact that you're happy to have new make-up, which in turn, boosts your mood. Either way, I was sold!

Let's see what it looks like on the skin…

I think its beautiful and cannot wait to try it on my face. I know some of you may be turned off by the shimmery-ness of this product but, if you apply it in the right way you could pull it off.

My "Free" product was this concealer.

Now we'll talk about the "free" part. So, I am scanning the display for something else I'd like. First thoughts were to pick up a Happy Booster blush, but I already own one of those. This concealer is part of the new Super CC+ line. You may have seen in a previous post that I have the CC Cream and Powder. (Would you like a review on these 3 products? Maybe a "how they work/look together" type of post?) I get to the register, a young kid was working (poor guy, he had no idea how crazy I get when things don't ring up at the sale price). When he finished ringing me up my total was WAY higher than it should have been. The PF wasn't ringing up buy one get one free. ANNOYING!!! I ask him to fix it. Now the poor kid has to go into the beauty section, which I'm sure he hates, and I'm "that girl" holding up the line. Hey! at least I told him where it was located in the store! He comes back looking more confused than me trying to learn math. (By this time there are back up cashiers present to help the other customers who have fallen victim to my obstinance). He voids the transaction and tries again, it wasn't accepting the concealer as a "free" item. Now, I start to get feisty.
"What do you mean it isn't accepting it?"
"Uhh… I dunno." (frantically pressing keys)
Then he manually discounts it. EUREKA! As I walk to my car I pull up the Rite Aid add on my phone and realized that the sale only applied to BLUSH, BRONZER, AND POWDER! Whoopsie! Oh well, apparently neither one of us can read. I thought you'd get a kick out of that.

MOVING ON!

I was looking for a night time moisturizer for my face. I find that my skin is at it's best when I use a thick "night time" moisturizer. I picked this one because it was cheaper than the rest. What can I say? The cheaper, the better!

I was a little turned off because the box looks like it had been to hell and back. I opened the product and all was well. It claims it's "Intensely moisturizing without a heavy, greasy feel". Let's hope thats true.

Lastly,
I picked up this GORGEOUS hot pink polish by Julie G. It's called "Oh Em Gee!"

I love neons for summer. This polish really caught my eye. I'll post a pic on Instagram when I use it. If it really wows me I may do a post about it.

That's all I got! Have you picked up any thing at your drug store recently or tried any of these?

I hope you all have a wonderful & safe weekend.

Until next time…
XOXO,
Adela

*DISCLAIMER: ALL PRODUCTS WERE PURCHASED WITH MY OWN MONEY. OTHERWISE I WOULDN'T HAVE CARED IF THEY WERE ON SALE. HAHA!

  1. I picked up nail polish. Geeze that seems to be the only thing I've been picking up lately. I keep trying physicians' formula but for some reason the only thing that really works for me is the double concealers.

    1. I really want to look at the Maybelliene Neons but RiteAid only had 2 colors and I wasn't impressed. I can't resist a pretty polish!

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
