Lush Birthday Haul!

Hello again!
I was given a Lush gift card for my birthday. So of course, I didn't waste any time using it up! This order was placed online because there isn't a Lush store close by. Now I realize Lush is one of those things people either love (like me) or hate. I wanted to share my first impressions of these products incase you aren't too familiar with this brand.

First off- I want to give you some background on the company. It's based out of Canada, products are handmade, cruelty free, all of the ingredients of each product are listed, and all of the ingredients are from a sustainable resource.

Moving on!
Here's the loot...
I'm a big fan of their Lip Balms. This is the first time I've tried this one...
Honey Trap is a very soft, sweet, vanilla honey scent. I can almost pick up a tiny hint of chocolate. It's very moisturizing and lasts a good bit on the lips.

This is a repurchase for me. Although this time I noticed the packaging said "self preserving" which is self explanatory.
Ocean Salt is my favorite face scrub. I use it once or twice a week. This can also be used as a body scrub. It smells very fresh and clean, like limes and coconut.

Here's what the product looks like...

The rest of the products are all new to me.

I have no idea how to pronounce this product. Feel free to try for yourself. Haha! This is a hair mask. Instructions say to apply to dry hair 20 mins before shampooing and conditioning. Interesting! Can't wait to try this.

This is what the product looks like...

Baby food? Grey poupon? Nah! Just a hair mask! This smells just like Christmas to me maybe because it contains bay leaf, cinnamon, and Rosemary (just to name a few).

This was probably the thing I was most excited about!

This is basically conditioner for your body. You apply it and let is soak in while in the shower and rinse off. It's supposed to leave your skin soft. We'll see about that!

Here's what it looks like...

This smells heavenly!!! A sweet rose scent. Love it! Anything rose scented reminds me of my Grandma Lucille. She used to wear a Rose fragrance.

Lastly is this toner...

You know how obsessed I am with facial sprays and I've heard this one is amazing. The label tells you all about it so I won't waste time explaining.

Well, that's it! I can't wait to try these new babies! If you'd like a review, let me know! What are some of your favorite Lush products?

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

*Disclaimer: all products were purchased with my loved ones hard earned money!

  1. You know my feelings about lush, but I do have hiney trap and I actually like it, which is a bad thing because I will never buy it again. I'm so happy you got a bunch of goodies you wanted

    1. You're not the only one that feels that way! I think most people I know don't care for it either. I really enjoy their bath products too. That's really what won me over. Thanks for reading the post anyway!
      Hugs!

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
