Product review: Lush birthday haul

Hello again,
Thanks for joining me. Today I will be reviewing the Lush products that I was trying for the first time in my birthday haul. I have used these products enough since then and feel I can give a good review on them. I am not going to include photos in this post because 1. I deleted them already and 2. I've been using the products so they look used.  I will link to my Birthday Haul Post below so you can see photos of the products I am talking about.

Honey Trap Lip Balm~ Amazing! I love, love, LOVE this lip balm. It is a very soft product so don't go digging your finger into it like I did. (Whoopsie!) It has a sweet honey-vanilla scent. This is the second lip balm I have tried from Lush. The first was Lip Service, at the time my lips were very dry and the bottom one was cracked. It just so happened that I took my sister into Lush for the first time and the manager recommend it to me. It was a great product. Within a a few days my lip was healed. I continued using it throughout the winter months. Talking about it now makes me want to get another one!

H'Suan Wen Hua Hair Treatment~ I was a little unsure about this product at first. This hair mask is unlike any other mask I've tried. Why? Because you put in on DRY hair BEFORE you shampoo. Weird right? Or am I the only one who's never used a hair mask that way? Anyway, It smells just like Christmas. Which I LOVE! You apply a decent layer of the product all over, scalp to ends. It tingles ever so slightly (it contains cinnamon so maybe that's why?) I left it on for about 20-30 mins before showering. NOTE: If you are going to use this make sure you don't have to take a shirt off over your head! I put on my wrap around towel before applying. You rinse the product out and shampoo and condition like normal. My hair felt SO SOFT after I used this! It didn't weigh my hair down or make it greasy. Needless to say, I love this product too!

Ro's Argan Body Conditioner~ This stuff is heavenly! If you don't like rose scented products, avoid this one! I love anything rose scented, reminds me of my Grandmother. It's called a "Body Conditioner" because that's exactly what it is. You smooth this on and let it absorb into your skin a few minutes before getting out of the shower. I like to use this product at night so all of the skin loving oils can soak in over night. I don't see how I can ever be without this product. Which is a bad thing because it's pretty pricey!

Breath of Fresh Air Toner Water~ The name of this product is perfect… it really is a breath of fresh air. I spritz this on after washing my face and it is so soothing to the skin. It has a clean, fresh scent to it. If your skin feels tight, like mine does after cleansing. You should give this a try. I am going to look into the other toner waters that Lush offers. This one is great!

If you haven't tried Lush I would recommend stopping by your local store (Stoneridge Mall, Emeryville if you're near me). All you have to do is tell them it's your first time there and they will show you any and everything you want to see. Sniff around, try the products, don't be afraid to ask for samples! They'll even give you a mini facial treatment when you're there. It's so much fun!

I hope I answered some of the questions you had about these products. If you'd like more information on any of the products mentioned or any other Lush product, please let me know!

Until next time…
Xoxo,
Adela

*Disclaimer: All products mentioned were a gift from a loved one for my birthday. This was not a sponsored post!

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
