Love me some Milani

Welcome back!
Today I will be sharing some Milani products I love. Milani is a line that is farily new to me. I don't own a ton of products from this line but the ones I do own I am very happy with.

Brow Products~
All of the brow products I use are from this line. Filling in my brows is a must. My brow hairs are sparse and much lighter than my hair so my face looks empty unless my brows are filled in. I use the Brow Shaping Clear Wax, which comes in a pencil. I fill my brows in with the Brow Fix Kit in Light. I use both shades in this kit. Then top with the Brow Shaping Clear Gel. I've used these products for quite some time now and am very pleased with the way they perform. Once I have my brows on they don't smudge or fade during the day. If you haven't checked out their brow products and are looking for something affordable, you should check them out!

(Would you like to see a tutorial on how I fill in my brows?)

Eye Shadows~
I had seen numerous rave reviews on the new Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadows. So of course, I had to check them out. It just so happened that CVS had them Buy 1 Get 1 50% off and I had a coupon so I took advantage of the deal. I picked up Bella Champaign and Bella Espresso. Both are shimmery and beautiful. I don't quite understand the whole gel aspect of these shadows so I can't comment on that. I can say that they are highly pigmented and long wearing. Love them!

Eyeshadow Primer~
I am always on the hunt for a good primer. Aren't we all? I was getting low on my beloved Elf primer so I decided to try something new. This stuff is great! It's a nude shade that dries slightly tacky. It's really nice and holds the shadows in place all day. You need the tiniest amount so I see this tube lasting a long time. My one complaint is that it gets a little thick/cakey looking under my eyes so I have to be very careful applying it to my lower lashline. Keep in mind that I have dark circles under my eyes, which means I have to conceal up to my lashline to hide them.

As you can see I haven't tried a whole lot from this line. Clearly I am happy with that I have tried thus far. I hope you enjoyed this post and learned more about some of their products. What are some of your favorite Milani products?

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
