Win It or Bin It? Rimmel Wonder'Lash Mascara with Argan Oil

Hi Friends!

Today I will share my thoughts on the new Rimmel Wonder'Lash  Mascara with Argan Oil. I first saw this when all of the new Spring products hit the drugstore. I am always up for trying new mascaras so of course I jumped on this one.

I've used this a few times and the first time I hated it! I thought it was because I used a new liquid liner that really clinged to my lashes. I was hoping that was the reason why the mascara was really clumpy. Yet when I applied it I felt as though nothing was coming off on my lashes. Very weird! Then it flaked off through out the day. Which is something I cannot stand!!

So I tried it again. This time without the liquid liner I used before. Still, hardly anything came off the brush onto my lashes. After several coats and wiggling the brush through my lashes I got a good amount of product on my lashes. BUT the end of my lashes had that weird little squiggly thing at the end of them. Again, it flaked off throughout the day. I noticed this time that my lashes fell flat about 3 hours after I applied it. My lashes never, everrrrr fall flat! Ugh!

Needless to say I am not impressed by this mascara AT ALL! I don't remember ever using a Rimmel mascara in the past but hope with all the mascaras they have in their line that this is one is just a bad formula. Another thing I don't like is how big the brush is on this thing! I mean, it's like as big as my eyeball! Another flaw is that it is SO hard to remove! I can usually take off any of  my other mascaras with a makeup towelette. Not the case with this. Most of it will come off but it smears all over my face in the meantime. I have to really scrub my eye area to get this off.  Even after washing my face I will still have black residue around my eye area.
So this one is a BIN IT! Sorry Rimmel, this mascara is garbage! With so many great mascaras at the drugstore it's a shame this one didn't cut it for me. Perhaps the argan oil makes it very soft and flaky and weighs my lashes down? Who knows, I may let it sit for a week to two and try it again once it's dried up a bit. But honestly, it's more likely to go straight in the trash!

I hope this review was helpful for you. If you're wanting a good mascara I can recommend tried and true mascaras that never flake and do wonders for lashes!

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
