Brow Kit Turned Eye Shadow Trio

Hello again!
Thank you for joining me today. I decided to share an eye look I have been wearing for the past week or two. It's very quick and believe it or not, it comes from an eye brow kit! Talk about travel friendly.
As you know, I LOVE Milani's Brow Kit, I use the shade Light. And you can tell from the pictures...my brows are not light! You can find this at CVS and Walgreens. The cool thing about this kit is that it comes with a small mirror (under the tools) a sponge tip, small angled brush, and mini tweezers. If they could find a way to cram a brow gel in there I'd have everything I need. I use this kit every day for my brows but I don't use the "Hi-lite" or "Brow 1" as quickly as I use "Brow 2". I was looking at an old one of these (that "Brow 2" was all used up in) and I didn't want to throw it away so I decided to try them as eye shadows and I thought it looked nice. So here we are!

This is what the kit looks like...

This is the finished look. It is a soft, natural look with some shimmer on the lid. LOVE!

Really for the fastest tutorial ever?!!
Ok, First off I take an angled shadow brush and apply "Brow 1" in my crease. This is a great transition color and it blends like a dream!

Using the same brush, but using the pointy end. I take "Brow 2" and apply this to the outer corner and slightly darken the crease. You can add as much color as you like.

Blend!

Next I take "Hi-Lite" on my finger and apply it to the inner corner and center of my lid. I pretty much take this color across the whole lid, till it meets up with the brown in the outer corner. Then I slightly blend the two with a clean finger.

Take "Hi-Lite" on a teeny tiny detail brush and apply it to my inner corner.

I didn't take a picture of this step but I will take a bit of "Brow 2" on the sponge tip and smudge it under my lower lash line. If you're into a shimmery brow bone, then by all means "hi-lite" the heck out of that baby. I leave mine alone because I want all of the shimmer to be on my lid.

Then I curl my lashes, slap on some mascara and I'm DONE!

Here is another picture of the look...

And just in case one wasn't enough...Here is another!

As I said above, I have been wearing this everyday for the past week or two and I am don't see myself stopping any time soon. Especially, on work mornings. I just haven't felt like taking the time to do much else. Hopefully this helps some of you that are on the go or don't have a lot of time, like me! If you have products laying around, give them a second look and see if you can make them work in other ways.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Please let me know if you try it. And as always, if you have any requests leave them in the comments!

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
