Get Ready With Me: Headed to Church!

Good Morning and Happy Monday to you all!

I was getting ready for church yesterday and I thought I might as well take you along with me as I got ready. First things, first. Coffee! I got this GIANT coffee cup from Walmart. I don't know about you but I have been finding some really cute things at Walmart lately.

Here we go!

I always think before and after pics are awesome! I don't mind not wearing makeup but I'm always so surprised by what a difference makeup makes.

I prepped my facing using these...
I am really enjoying the elf poreless primer. It does have tea tree oil in it which means it smells like it.  I don't mind that smell, but if you are sensitive to it then watch out! and DO NOT get this close to your eyes. I found that out the hard way,

I concealed using my trusty Maybelliene Fit Me and blended in with my Real Techniques sponge.
I set my undereyes with elf HD undereye setting powder but I forgot to take a picture of it. Sorry!

I went in with a light layer of Bare Minerals foundation. I always start at the center of my face and work my way out. I finish with my forehead.

I apply a light dusting of Mineral Veil over the top. I apply the most again in the center of my face and then sweep whatever is left on the brush to the rest of my face.

I prepped my lids with this bad boy. If you want a primer that is going to last you FOREVER then you have to try this stuff. I've had it for months and I swear it's a never ending tube of primer.

Filled in brows as always

Now I look like my brows are huge but they're not, I promise.

On to shadows! I haven't used this one for a while and I didn't want an overly warm look. I like this palette because it's more on the cool/taupe-ish side.

I labeled the colors I used and where I applied them...

I was feeling like a shimmery lid so I applied this shadow to the inner corner and brought it across my lid to meet the darker colors. I use my finger tip for this because I get a really shimmery look that way.

I highlighted the browbone with this new love. If you want a nice white matte shadow, you've got to check this one out.

I wanted something light for the lower lashline so I went in with this shadow.

Curled my lashes.

I love this eyeliner and I am so sad because it's gotten to the point where I can't really use it anymore. I need to get a new one next time I'm in Ulta.

Mascara and nude liner, as always.

This has been my favorite combo for blush and highlight lately. I love how subtle but pretty they look together. It helps that they're both super affordable too!

These Intense Butter Glosses are so good! This is the only color I have but you better believe I will be picking up more next time they're on sale. I paired this with my Milani All Natural lip liner. I find that this helps it last longer.

I set everything with my favorite setting spray.

Annnd we're done!

I don't have a mirror to do a full body shot. But I paired this maxi skirt (Kohl's)  with a black tee (Target) with a white tank (Target) under.
These sandals are jelly sandals I found at Old Navy a few years ago.
The polish on my toes is Butler Please by Essie. I've had a thing for blues and greens on my toes this summer. It was comfortable and cute. Just my style.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you back on Wednesday!

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
