Candle Haul: Bath & Body Works

Hello again!
Thank you for stopping by. Today I am sharing my recent candle order from BBW.
A week or so ago I got an email from Bath & Body Works saying they had a candle sale going on. It just so happened that my little heart had been waiting for a candle sale because I had burned through just about every candle I had. I go through phases with candles: sometimes I love them and I have them lit all of the time and sometimes I don't light them for months. Most of you might know that I LOVE to melt wax (Scentsy for those of you who aren't familiar) I have warmers in various rooms in my house and have wax going in them 24/7. I like to have candles lit because I feel like it makes the room's cozy and inviting and they smell good! I know you might be thinking that the wax in the warmers and the candles going at the same time might be over powering but it isn't to me. I love having a night scent throughout my house. I do try to pair similar scents so I will melt similar scents in the warmers and candles. If you want to hear more about my warmers, wax, etc. let me know. I can definitely do a post on that.

On to the candle goodness!!

Here they are in all their glory. Do you like to heavenly they look with my filter? haha!
Instead of me trying to describe each scent I took pictures of the scent description.
I figured BBW will do a much better job describing scents than I ever could.

Over the summer my girlfriend and I were in BBW looking for a candle for our church candle exchange (Yes, our church is awesome and does a women's candle exchange!)
While we were there I saw this scent in the teeny tiniest mazon jar size so I took advantage of my free mini candle coupon and swooped it up. It smelled so good that I had to get a full size.

The label got me on this one. I love, love, looove Marshmallow Fireside. I buy a candle and wallflower bulbs in this every year. Some how I missed that this was that scent. So I ended up buying this and another Marshmallow fireside. Whoopsie! I guess it is a good thing I like this scent, huh?
I plan on putting this out on Thanksgiving because the label is just perfect.

Annnd here is the other one that I will use later. Oh, another thing! When I was clearing stuff out of my beauty room, I found another Marshmallow Fireside candle that had hardly been used.
So now I have 3 of them! Nice one, Adela.

I am going to try my best not to get on a tangent about this one. I think it is safe to say that I am slightly obsessed with this scent. This is one that is the official Fall scent to me. I have one that is almost gone and I refused to burn it till I had another one. Can we take a moment to talk about the jar on this? Um, GORGEOUS! I have another jar like this in the Golden Cinnamon scent that I talked about in my October Favorites. So once I burn through this bad boy, I am going to clean them out and use them somewhere in the house. They're too pretty not to.

This is a new scent to me. I am so glad that I decided to get it because it's a beautiful scent. It reminds me of a Lush store. I know some of you cringed when I said that. I can't wait to smell this warm. it is a lighter scent though so I am hoping that this will throw nicely. Oh, and if any of you have a cabin like this one, please let me stay there for a weekend this winter!

If you like vanilla, you have go to get this candle. This is the candle that my girlfriend gave away for the candle exchange. It smells SO GOOD! I want to take a bite out of this. Don't worry, I wont but it is mouth watering good!

Like I said about leaves, this is the Winter (how appropriate) season scent. I first tired this in the wallflowers and I fell in love with it. Nothing makes my heart happier than seeing my Jack Skellington tree all lit up and have this scent drifting through the air. It's perfection.

Holy yumminess! Who ever decided that coconut was appropriate to mix in with a winter candle is my new BFF! It's the slightest scent of coconut and vanilla and goodness. I love it!
I can't wait to melt this.

That's it. I know, it's a ton of candles but they were buy one get one free so I stocked up. I actually ended up paying for 3 of these because of the sale and my coupon, so that is a score in my book.
What are some of your favorite candles?

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
