Monthly Favorites: November

Hello again!
It's time for favorites! I love these posts because they are full of products I have used a ton and know I like. I will link to everything I can below. I will link October's Favorites at the end of this post if you want to check that post out.

Let's get started!

Favorite Candle:
You know I couldn't post a favorite's without a candle. This one is a huge favorite in The Adela Told Me House. We love this scent. The funny thing about this scent is that not very many people like it when they smell it but when people walk into my house and I have this candle lit they always LOVE the smell of it. I can't wait to put Wallflowers out in this scent. It's so good!

Favorite Drink:
I have blasted through a box of this tea like it's going out of style! It is a perfectly delicious blend of apple and cinnamon. I already picked up another box of this. If you're into tea and like this kind of flavor, you've got to try this!

Favorite Perfume:
This perfume instantly became one of my favorites from the first time I smelled it. I was with my best friend ever (Hi Jamie!!) which is super rare because we live in different states. Anyway, we were spending some girly time at Ulta and I came across this. I loved it so much that I got one for me and one for her. Every time I wear it, I think of her. It is a very feminine and sweet scent but not in a cheap kind of way. Love it!

Favorite Mask:
I was on the hunt for this stuff for the longest time! I finally got my hands on it a couple months ago and I use it about once a week. My skin isn't super dry but it does get dryer when it gets cold outside. I really like that this doesn't make my skin oily the next day. It gives me the perfect amount of moisture and I like that I can sleep in it so I don't have to worry about washing it off before bed.

Favorite Primer:
I posted a video on my blog FB group showing an elf haul. I purchased another one of these because I love it so much. It really helps to conceal enlarged pores and even out the skin. It does smell like tea tree so if you are sensitive to that smell then you'll want to skip this one.

Favorite Chapstick:
I don't know what it is with Blister lately but they have been putting out some of my favorite chapsticks lately! First the Soft and Lush that was last months favorite and I have a teeny tiny nub of that one left that I am using. I opened this one to take to work with me because I've used the Soft and Lush so much that I broke the tip off but I am still using it all! I have another one of those ready to go but I will use this one up before I open it. I really enjoy this lip balm. It makes my lips super soft and comfortable. Especially in this cooler weather.

Favorite Body Wash:
I have had this in the past and for some reason I hadn't purchased it in the longest time. I got this on a crazy sale somewhere (I don't remember which store) I am kicking myself for not getting more than one! The scent of this is amazing as soon as I opened the cap I remembered how much I loved it before. Another thing I love about this is that it helps slough off the extra dry skin I have this time of year. Definitely am going to repurchase this!

Favorite Lotion:
I have been a long time fan of BBW Body Cream. I don't know what it is about my skin but I find that the body lotion doesn't sink into my skin all it does it make my skin feel slimy and still dry. UGH! It is so annoying! This however is the exact opposite. It soaks in wonderfully and makes my skin feel so comfortable and soft. Not to mention that the scents are out of this world! This is a yummy vanilla scent. Not too sickeningly sweet. I love it.

Favorite Brush:
This is totally random but I love this blush brush! I got it when this brand was on Hautelook and I can't remember how much it was but it was a deal I will tell you that! It's super soft and is a great size for my cheek.

Favorite Blush:
This blush has been my favorite since I bought it. I love the color of this blush. It is matte which I love, I rarely will use a blush that isn't matte. If you haven't tried these rose blushes you should definitely try this one. It gives the perfect flush to the cheek. Love!

Favorite Lip Color:
Another product that was a favorite right away. This color is the perfect color when you want a hint of color but not look over done. It's comfortable on the lips and lasts a good while. It doesn't have a crazy amount of sheen to it but it isn't matte either. It is a very interesting finish.

Favorite Lip Pencil:
I have had this for quite some time and I love this pencil. I've worn it by itself with a gloss over the top for a gorgeous pink color or layer a nude (90's ish) lip color over the top for a totally different look. OR my favorite thing to pair it with is the Chocolacque above. Those two together make a beautiful pair!

Favorite Eye Palette:
I can't get enough of this palette. I wanted it for the longest time and I finally got it when HSN had a package of this and a couple of other full sized products for the price of this palette (Super deal!) Not only does it smell like chocolate, the colors are gorgeous and you can create great looks with this baby.

Those are the favorites for November, ladies! I hope you enjoyed this post. What are some of your favorite products? I hope you've had a good week so far. I will see you back on Friday.

Here is the link to last months favorites for those of you that missed it.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
