CeraVe Skin Renewing Cream Serum and Night Cream Review

Hi everyone!
Today I am sharing a review on some new skin care products I have been using for over a month now. Maybe even two months, now that I think of it. Before I start the review I want to give you a little back story on what prompted my changes in skincare products. I am 32, and as I have aged, my skin has changed. I would like to think that I have accepted these changes gracefully (haha) but I still want to keep my skin looking healthy as time goes on. I have combination skin which means I only get oily in my T-zone. However, in the cooler months my skin tends to get dry in other areas of my face. I started noticing that my skin started to have areas that were very textured and rough looking. I didn't like the way it was making my makeup look and I wanted to do something about it.
I love CeraVe products. I have tried numerous products from their line and I am pleased with all of them. As I said above, I have been using these products regularly for the past month or two and I have noticed a huge difference in my skin!

So now, after I have given you an entire post in and of itself with my back story (are your eyes tired?) I will get to the review!

These are the lovely products I am talking about...

I only apply these at night after I wash my face. First, I apply this Cream Serum, which is a very interesting product. Because it is a "cream serum" it is not and oily consistency, it's more like a lightweight, day time moisturizer. It is a lime green/yellow color and doesn't have much of a scent to it. I apply small dots around my face and neck and gently rub in.

One thing I really appreciate about this packaging is the way the product comes out. It has this neat little nozzle that you press to release the product. I like knowing that I will be able to get all of the product out of this as time goes on.

I apply the Night Cream over top of the serum. This locks in the serum and really hydrates my skin. However, it doesn't make my skin so hydrated that it gets oily the next day. I love that in the morning, when I wash my face, I can feel the barrier this product has created on my skin.

This cream is very thick. It doesn't take much of it either. I apply this in dots around my face and neck and run in. One thing that irritated me was that the jar was about half full of product when I received it. I can't stand when companies give you bigger packaging to make it look like you're getting more product! In fact, I almost thought of returning it until I read reviews about it online and decided to give it a try.

As if you didn't know already, I am impressed by these products and what they have done to my skin. I can't say that I am going to repurchase (only because I have been eyeing some products from Philosophy and The Body Shop). I will continue to keep you updated on my skincare roller coaster and the products I have been using, if you're interested. If you have any products to recommend, please do!

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
