What's in my makeup bag: Work

Hi everyone,

I hope you've all had a good week so far. Today I am sharing my work makeup bag. In the past month or so I have been doing my makeup at work in the morning (to beat some morning traffic).
I pack my bag on Sunday night and it goes to work with me for the rest of the week. I have to be honest, because I am only taking a select group of products, my look is pretty much the same for the entire week. I wonder if any of my co-workers have noticed, haha.

You wont be able to see from the stuff that I show you today but the only products that really change are my eye shadows and blush. Other than that, everything is the same. I am able to apply this makeup in about 20 minutes once I get there. Which is the perfect timing because I am able to get it done and put away before I need to clock in.

Let's take a look at the products I had in my bag this week...

First out of the bag is my plethora of brushes. One might ask if you really "need" all of these brushes and the answer is NO! I just bring them all because I have room in my bag for them.

Let's break the brushes down into groups in hopes that this will prove that I'm not a brush hoarder (yeah, right!)
From left to right:
Foundation
Concealer setting
Bronzer/Contour
Blush

The larger of the two is the brush I use to clean up around my brows before I set them with gel. The other one is self explanatory.

Again... Self explanatory.

These are the shadows I am using this week. I love my Naked 2 palette so I decided to take her along this week. I set my entire lid with the Milani primer. Then go into the crease with a bit of the medium shades and outer corner with the darker shade in the Naked 2. Then apply the shadow stick all over the lid and top with the taupe shadow in the prism palette. It might seem like a lot but it's quick and it looks nice.

You all have met "The Liner and Lash Team"

Face products:
Bare Minerals Original Formula in Fairly Light
Elf HD Undereye Setting Powder
NYX matte setting spray
Maybelliene Mater Prime (not a favorite but I'm trying to use it up)
Maybelliene Better Skin in Medium
Maybelliene Fit Me in 15

PF Nude Wear Bronzer in Light
Essence blush in Baby Doll

Brow Gel and Powders

And my lippies! I apply the Chapstick before I do my makeup and the gloss when I'm done. I re-apply the gloss throughout the day.

And we can't forget the Real Techniques sponge! This makes blending concealer a dream.

For the extras I threw in some eye drops incase my allergies act up and a q-tip for smudges. Oh and a tip about the q-tips. I buy cheap ones from The Dollar Tree to clean up smudges. I feel better about using those for makeup mistakes than the more expensive brand.

And that is it! I'm curious to know what you all have in your makeup bags. Feel free to post a picture on the FB Blog Group or tag me on InstaGram (ADELAWITHONEL). I hope you enjoyed this post and have a good rest of the week. I'll see you back on Friday!

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
