Blow Dryer & Flat Iron Review

Hello everyone!
Today I am sharing two new products that have changed the way I style my hair. I wear my hair straight most of the time and the flat iron I had for a few years was slowly falling apart. Strands of my hair started to get stuck in between the plates and it wasn't making my hair smooth anymore. So it was time for a new one! A friend of mine suggested one to me that has blown me out of the water. We will talk more about that in a minute but first, I want to talk about the blow dryer.

Amazon has become one of my favorite sites to purchase various items off of. Shortly after my friend suggested the flat iron mine blew up so I HAD to get a new one ASAP. I starts searching and came across this gem. I read several reviews and decided to give it a shot.
What do I like it so much?
1. It dries my hair in half the time it usually takes
2. It makes my hair MUCH smoother than any other dryer I've used.

This dryer is fairly light weight and doesn't make that high pitch noise that some make. It comes in a concentrator nozzle, which I use to help smooth out my hair. It has high heat, low heat, and cool temperature settings. It also has a high, low, and off setting for the amount of air it blows.

I highly suggest this iron. Especially if you have thick hair like I do and it takes forever to dry your hair. Actually, even if you have thin hair you need this in your life! I also want to mention that this did not cost me an arm and a leg. It was only $200! Psyche! Haha! It was $36.99!!
I will link to this below if you want to check it out.

On to the flat iron!
As I said earlier, my friend Jamie told me about this iron. She got one for her daughter who has very thick hair! We knew it is worked on her hair, it would work on ours. So once I heard that it swept through her hair without a problem then I knew this was the one for me!

I really like the digital display on it. It is very easy to operate. I like that they have a lock button on top of the display to prevent your fingers from messing with the temperature as you use it. Another awesome thing, it heats up in under a minute. I mean like in 20 seconds, girlfriends! Yep, I can get this baby up to 350 in no time!

The plates on this are very smooth. I am able to sweep through sections of my hair in one swipe and I am left with perfectly straight, smooth, and silky hair!

One other thing I want to mention is that this is a 1 inch flat iron. This is the size that I use no matter the length of my hair. I've tried larger plates and they just don't work for my hair. I feel like I have more control with this size.
I will also link this below in case any of you want to check it out.

So if you didn't pick up that I LOVE both of these, I'll tell you now... I LOVE BOTH OF THESE! And I highly recommend them both to you. I hope that you all enjoyed this post and found it helpful.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
