Favorite Drugstore Products

Hello again!
Today I am sharing my favorite products from the drugstore. These are products I have repurchased several times. They are tried and true products that I love. I am going to go through these products just like I go through my Monthly Favorites. I will try to link to everything that I can. Most of these will be linked to Walmart or Walgreens because that is where I find most of these products. Also, keep in mind that these are products that are readily available at the drugstore. NOT products that are drugstore prices.

Here we go!

~Hair Care~
Tresemme Tres Two Hairspray~
Are you at all surprised that I mention this? haha! If you have followed me for any amount of time, then you know that I love this hairspray. I haven't used any other kind of spray since I started using this. I always have at least two cans of this in my backup stash because I cannot live without it.

Batiste Dry Shampoo~
This is by far the best dry shampoo I've ever used! Yes, it makes my hair white when I spray it in, but I have learned a process that doesn't leave that white cast behind. If you would like to see a tutorial on that, please let me know and I can definitely do that for you! Back to the product! This line has a variety of scents to choose from, I tend to go with whatever smells good that day. Right now I have the clean and fresh and the floral scent on hand. I switch back and forth between the two but sadly both of them are almost empty so I will have to repurchase soon!

Herbal Essences Shampoo & Conditioner~
This is the same shampoo I used in high school. It smells exactly the same as it did back then. I admit at first I bought it just because it smelled so good but I really like what it does to my hair. I have very frizzy hair anyway and this helps with that. Another thing, I have color treated hair and this doesn't make my color fade as quickly as it would with other products. It doesn't say anything on the packaging about being made for color treated hair so I am only talking from my experience with these products. The scent lasts a really long time in my hair too! Which is a plus since I only wash my hair every 1-2 days.

~Personal Care~
Simple Makeup Remover Towelettes~
I have purchased so many of these over the years. Nothing compares to these! I use these for my eyes too and they don't burn my eyes at all. The remove my makeup with very little effort and the wipes are moist throughout the pack. Side note: I purchased the Walmart version of these wipes and they are NOTHING like the actual Simple Brand wipes! The wipes themselves have a rougher texture, they burn the heck out of my eyes, and I have to work harder to get the makeup off. So needless to say, Simple wipes are worth spending the extra few bucks on! Another thing, I purchase these in the two pack from Walmart. I have found that is the most affordable place to buy them and you save a few bucks from buying the two pack.

Bic Simply Soleil Click Disposable Razor~
I love these razors! I used a razor similar to this years ago and was so sad when they stopped making it. I have an electric razor that I use on my legs (because I get such bad razor burn) but I used these for any other area on my body that I shave. I love that you can switch just the razor head out instead of throwing the whole thing away. The blades stay sharp for a good amount of time and the triple blades really help me get a quick and close shave.

Dr Teals Relax & Relief Foaming Bath~
I love taking baths but because California is in a drought, I have not been able to take baths! But before the drought, I would take at least 1 bath a week (haha! as I am typing this I realized how weird that sounds so let me clarify: I take a shower daily but baths are a treat to me) This foaming bath is great to use when I am sick or have a headache. The Eucalyptus and Spearmint in it are so soothing! I have also tried this in the lavender scent and that is amazing too! They also make this in the actual Epsom salt bag so you just add a few scoops into your bath and you're ready for a nice relaxing bath.

~Beauty~
Blistex Soft and Lush Lip Protectant~
This is by far my favorite lip balm! I have these all over the place. It has the yummiest vanilla cake scent to it and it tastes almost as good as it smells. It lasts a good time on the lips and this is my favorite lip balm to use before I apply lipstick or lip liner. Another thing I like is that this has an SPF in it so I make sure to keep this with me if I am going to be in the sun.

I don't know what happened to this picture! Boo!

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer~
This is hands down my favorite concealer. I have gone through so many of these and I have a ton of them in my back up stash. If anyone asks me for a good drugstore concealer, I recommend this one. It has a really good coverage to it. It's lightweight and it comes in a good range of colors. I use this under my eyes and I also use this anywhere else I need some extra coverage. I really like this for under my eyes and it doesn't crease! Love this stuff!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara~
How many posts have you seen this in? Another product I always recommend to people and so far anyone that has tried it has loved it as much as I do. The brush is very unique on this mascara and it really helps, lifts, and fans the lashes. I get this in the blackest black shade because I like my lashes as dark as possible. I don't wear this in the waterproof and it never flakes off during the day. The formula is very wet when you get a new tube and I like it the best about a week or two into the tube.

Milani Eyeshadow Primer~
I purchased this very tube of this so long ago! I have used it regularly and still have a ton left in the tube. This is such a nice primer. It really clings on to the shadow and doesn't give me any creasing during the day. It is very affordable and because you use such a tiny amount of product, it will last you a very long time!

Rimmel Natural Bronzer~
I recently came across this bronzer and I am in love with it all over again. This is a really nice, matte bronzer. It can be built up to give you a deep color. I have this in the shade "Sunlight" and it is perfect for me.

Milani Brow Fix Kit~
I can't say enough good things about this kit. I get mine in the shade Light and it works perfectly for my brows. I have used this for several years and again, this is another product that I have gotten a lot of other people hooked on. Another thing I like about this, is that it makes a really nice simple eye palette. I don't use the highlight shade in this palette for my brows because it is too shimmery for my liking but I love it as a lid color! If you have this kit and don't quite know what to do with that color you have got to try it on your lids. It is the perfect shimmery color to make your eyes pop!

Jordana Easy Liner for Lips~
By far my favorite lip liner. These are very affordable and last a long time on the lips. I have these in various shades but my favorite is the shade Tawny. I use that with so many different shades of lipsticks and I also love to line and fill in my entire lips with this color. If you are in the market for a good and affordable lip liner, I defintiely recommend these. One more thing, I am only able to find these at Walgreens.

That was a lot of products! But like I said, I have repurchased these several times and really like them! I hope that you all enjoyed this post.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
