Latest Obsession: Sugar Lip Scrub

Hello again!

Today I am sharing a product with you that I have quickly become obsessed with...none other than a delicious sugar lip scrub from Perfectly Posh! This product came in my Independent Consultant kit and I have loved it since the first time I tried it. In fact, anyone who I've given this to as a sample falls in love with it. Yes, it's THAT GOOD!
I wanted to walk you through the process, for those of you that have never used a lip scrub before. In a nutshell, lip scrubs are an exfoliant for your lips. Seems simple enough, right? I have tried so many lip scrubs over the years and was madly in love with the Lush lip scrubs. Then Posh came along! I will explain more later on in this post.

So without rambling any further...let's get scrubbin'!

First off, Posh has the cutest names and packaging for their products! This sugar scrub comes in a little tin so it is perfect to throw in your bag! I included a photo of the back of the product because I am a label reading nerd and I am notorious for reading the entire label on products I use.

The product it's self is very solid in the tin. You won't see any loose granules of sugar floating around in this. Which also means it's not messy. This is one of the reasons why I like this more than the Lush scrub. Lush's scrub is loosely packed sugar so it gets ALL OVER THE PLACE! I didn't like that I could only use that one when I was leaning over the sink. That is not the case with this one! The sugar is mixed in the most moisturizing balm so there is no mess to clean up.

I take a teeny tiny bit of scrub on my finger tip and massage it over my lips until most of the granules of sugar disolve. I'm serious, guys! All it takes is that tiny amount!

After about a minute or two the sugar is mostly gone. So I lick my lips to get rid of any left over sugar and my lips are coated with the most amazing tasting and feeling balm! If I'm not using this scrub right before applying a lipstick I will just leave the balm to let it soak in. Otherwise, I will rub the excess in with my finger and apply my lip product as I normally would.

I'm telling you, this is a must have for me! Especially after using a matte, liquid lipstick, or just have dry lips! A few little scrubs with this stuff and you will be left with super soft lips!

There are two other things I want to be sure to mention:
1. This is made in a variety of "flavors", "scents" I don't know what the term is but you know what I'm talking about!
2. They have coordinating lip balms to each scrub! So if you want double hydration, be sure to check out the caffeinated lip balms to go with your scrub.

I hope that you all enjoyed this post and will give Posh a try. Seriously, I'm not just going on, and on, and ON about Posh products for nothing. I am in love with these products and I want to share them with you all!

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
