Monthly Favorites: June

Hello again!
Today we are talking about my Favorite products for the month of June. I feel like I have a lot more products than last month so let's dive right in!

Wax- Sun Kissed Citrus by Scentsy
https://amandasatter.scentsy.us/Buy/Search?query=sunkissed%20citrus
Unfortunately, I melted all of this delicious wax before I thought to take a picture of it. If you like a fresh citrus scent then you will love this! It's not over powering but it makes your house smell like it was just cleaned from top to bottom when this is melting. I definitely have this on my order list.

Drink- Trenta Unsweetened Black Tea by Starbucks
Another thing I don't have a picture of. But I am sure you've seen me post about this on Facebook. I have become obsessed with this tea! I love the peach tea with lemonade (or whatever it's called) but it's packed with sugar. So I started getting this and add two slenda's to it for that much needed afternoon caffeine kick without the calories.

Body Sprays- by Bath and Body Works
I always seem to use body sprays more than perfume in the summer and honestly I can't tell you why. I picked these three yummy scents when the semi annual sale started and I LOVE them! Each one is so different from the next.
Freesia is a throwback for me. I wore the heck out of this in high school! I would even take the bottle with me to school so I could apply a fresh spritz when needed. And yes, I would even flip my hair into it. Haha! It smells so feminine, floral, and fresh.
Waikiki Beach Coconut is the second coconut scent my bestie and I have gotten together. Last year it was the Oahu Coconut Sunset, which we are both almost out of. This year it was this one. It's a very tropical scent but with a clean twist to it.
Watermelon Lemonade is probably the most interesting of the three. When I saw the name I thought "eww!" But I was hooked by first whiff. This is the prettiest scent! I don't really detect watermelon or lemonade but it smells so good!!! You guys have to smell this in store if you can (especially since I just gave you the worst description on earth)

Lotion- PJ'S All Day- Skindelicious Body Butter By Perfectly Posh
https://www.perfectlyposh.com/AdelaHerrera/specials/pjs-all-day

Where do I even begin with this love? I put this on before bed and I was out in minutes! This is packed with lavender essential oil and a hint of vanilla and its absolute perfection! I can't forget to mention that it makes my skin SO SOFT! It soaks in nicely and doesn't leave me feeling heavy or greasy. It's everything I've ever wanted in a body butter!

I had to include a close up of the label because you know I'm a label nerd.

Shampoo/Conditioner- Pantene Smooth and Sleek
Shampoo: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Pantene-Pro-V-Smooth-Shampoo-12.6-Fl-Oz/14301845
Conditioner: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Pantene-Pro-V-Smooth-Sleek-Finishing-Conditioner-12-fl-oz/14301811

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on Pantene. Some people say it makes your hair fall out. Others swear by it. I just happened to buy this a few years ago (this is obviously a repeat purchase) I really like these two because they make my thick, frizzy, flyaway filled hair easy to work with but doesn't weigh my hair down or make it look greasy. It smells really good too! And the scent lingers in my hair for a long time after I wash it.

Hask Hair Oil-
http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod10941003
Since my hair is grown out I have really been making an effort in taking care of it. I started using this oil after a friend of mine shared it with me. It smells amazing and makes my hair so shiny and healthy looking! I really like the tiny tube this stuff comes in. It's easy for travel and perfect for someone like me who doesn't have crazy long hair. I only apply this to the ends of my hair that way I don't get oily in between washes.

Random- Panasonic Close Curves Electric Razor
http://www.target.com/p/panasonic-close-curves-3-blade-wet-dry-ladies-shaver/-/A-11041315
My mom saw me eyeing this before Christmas and got it for me. I love this little thing!! I get horrible razor bumps if I shave my legs with a razor. It seemed like no matter what I did I would still get these red bumps all over my legs. Not the case with this baby!!! Plus, you can shave your legs any time! This says it can be used wet or dry but I only use mine dry. It comes with a little charging base  that easily plugs into a bathroom outlet. I am so happy with this and I can't believe I didn't mention this in a favorites till now. Thank you, Mom!

Eyeshadow Palette- Naked Basics 2 by Urban Decay
http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod11151037

I've been using this thing NON-STOP! I just can't get enough of these shadows. They're perfect for a quick every day look. They blend like a dream!

Blush Princess Daiquires by Wet n' Wild
http://www.target.com/p/wet-n-wild-color-icon-ombre-blusher/-/A-50029746

I can't seem to put this blush down. I've been reaching for this thing every day! It has a really pretty coral sheen to it and it leaves a really nice natural flush to the cheeks. I really wish this came in more colors that appeal to me but I don't really like any of the other colors in this line.

Powder- Coty Airspun Translucent Extra Coverage
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Coty-Airspun-Translucent-Extra-Coverage-Loose-Face-Powder/10312547

This is the powder that I have been using to set my under eye concealer and I have been so happy with it. This comes in several shades but I don't remember them all now. The one I have here is in Translucent Extra Coverage. It's a really nice powder for the price! It doesn't make my concealer crease or look dry and cakey. I've even used this to set my T-Zone and it's great for that too.

Lip Balm- Nivea A Kiss of Cherry
http://www.walmart.com/ip/NIVEA-A-Kiss-Of-Cherry-Lipcare-1-ea-Pack-of-2/45003848

This Chapstick is really pretty! The color of it reminds me of the Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose only s much lighter version. I've been using this at work to give me a bit of color. It has a kool-aid like cherry scent to it which I odly enjoy.

Gloss- NYX Butter Gloss in Strawberry Parfait
http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod5050009#

I've really been into a somewhat bright color to the lips lately. I've had this shade for a while now but I hardly ever reach for it. I've been using this more lately and I really like the color it gives to my lips. It can be built up for a more noticeable look or worn sheer for just a hint of pink. These are so comfortable, not sticky, and very affordable. Oh, and they smell like vanilla cake. Yum!

Hand Creme- Amaaazing BFYHC by Perfectly Posh
https://www.perfectlyposh.com/AdelaHerrera/new/amaaazing-0

I didn't know what to expect from this scent but man! One whiff and I knew exactly why it's called "Amaaazing" because that's exactly how it smells! This is the perfect blend of fresh mint and wild honey. Honestly, you can't go wrong with a BFYHC from Posh. I have just about all of them and they're all great. They leave my hands super soft and smelling yummy! If you're in the market for a new hand creme, you've got to give these a try!

And the back because I'm a label nerd.

Well my friends. That wraps up June Favorites. I hope that you enjoyed this post. What are some of your favorite products?

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
