Merry Christmas...in July???

Ho Ho Ho!
I've always wondered...What's with Christmas in July???
Do people really start buying/planning for Christmas in JULY?
I always thought I was on top of the game by having my Christmas shopping done right after Thanksgiving (Black Friday Shopping Extraordinaire)

Maybe I have just been in the mood to browse websites more lately, or blame it on the fact that I've actually had a taste of what it's like to be home during the day on my very few days off this past week, but I can't help but ignore all of these adorable Christmas decorations and such.

So I want to know...
-When do you start shopping/planning for Christmas?
-Do you set a budget? (I actually do use a budget system, so if you're interested in that, I can plan on     posting that when it get's closer to Christmas)
-If you do shop early, do you actually save money by purchasing gifts now?
-Do you buy for everyone on your list or just a few?

I wanna know!!!
I know this is a totally random post but welcome to my life. haha!

Oh and one more thing, I am planning on adding on to my Jack Skellington Tree this year and seriously thinking about creating a Alice in Wonderland one too. (I have a thing for Tim Burton, what can I say?) If you see anything that you think I can add on to either of those, please send them my way!

And seriously, if you read this, PLEASE comment and let me know your answers to the questions above.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
