I Went Shopping! Ulta

Hey there!
Hope you've all had a good weekend. I stopped by Ulta yesterday and picked up a few things. I was really interested in the new Bare Minerals foundation. Well, I ended up getting it and a few other things. Let's talk about what I got...

First, I picked up a few more of my favorite lip balms. These are great. I always keep Milk & Honey on hand. I've tried the Olive Oil & Lemon before and it smells amazing I don't get any olive oil scent at all. Just a very clean and fresh lemon scent.

I haven't tried this before but I've heard great things about them. They come in several different scents. I'm looking forward to trying this when I do my next pedi. I'll let you know what I think.

I thought this was a pretty cool little tool. I liked that they fold in for traveling. I don't know if you can see from the pic, but the comb is metal, which makes it easy to clean and reuse.

Finally, the star of the show! Bareskin foundation in Bare Linen. This is a very unique foundation. The formula is very thin. You have to shake the bottle (A LOT) before applying. I can't say much about it because today was the first time I wore it. I can say that it gives a very natural look to the skin but they claim it's coverage is buildable. I will test that out next weekend. I can do a more in depth review if you'd like one. One thing I was bummed about it that Ulta didn't have the brush that was made to apply this foundation. Which brings me to my next purchase.

I ended up picking this brush and didn't use it when I applied my foundation (I always wash my brushes before using them). Instead I used a double ended It Cosmetics brush I got a while back. Hopefully when I use this brush it works well with the foundation. If not, I'll have to use it for my powder foundation.

That wraps it up! Like I said, not a bunch of stuff but I'm not one to buy stuff just because. If you'd like reviews on any of these products please let me know. Also, if you've tried any of them please let me know what you think.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
