Empties- Products I've used up

Welcome back!
It's that time again...Time to talk about all of the stuff I've used over the past month. As always, I will quickly review each product and tell you if I would repurchase or not.

I used not one but TWO base coats! Bonder is my go-to base coat. I always have a backup on hand. I've used it for years and have always been happy with it's performance. The Julep base coat was nice too. This came in a set I purchased off Hautelook. I'm not planning on repurchasing because I prefer Bonder over any base coat I've tried thus far.

Let's talk face masks. I love them! Can't get enough of them, although I don't use them as often as I should. I shoot for once a week but that very rarely happens. The Ellen Tracy Face and Eye Masks are from TJ Maxx. I'm not very picky when it comes to picking out masks. I usually will get whatever they have in stock. Another favorite of mine are the peel off masks. I get mine from Drug Stores or Walmart. Needless to say, I will continue to repurchase.

Another TJ Maxx find...Makeup remover wipes. You can't beat the prices there and the towelettes are pretty decent for the price. My only gripe with these is that the last few wipes (2 or 3) were SUPER DRY! I blame the peel and stick seal. I don't like those. If you have a TJ Maxx near by you should definitely check out the beauty section. They have AWESOME products and great prices.

I decided to break up with Miss Manga. After two tubes I was fed up with her attitude. And by attitude I mean that I started having flakes of mascara on my face after about 3 weeks of use. 3 weeks?! No Ma'am! In the trash (or empties bag) she went! As of right now, I do not plan on repurchasing her. Clump Crusher however, makes up for all the junkie mascaras out there. Love it! and will continue to repurchase till the cows come home.

Do these even matter? Do you guys even want to see what tooth paste I use? Anyway, The Dove Unscented soap is great. I use it to clean my make up brushes. It get's all of the make up off and rinses clean. Toms is the only tooth paste we use. I can't stand the chemically taste of the others. BLEH! Actually, I take that back, We use the cinnamon flavor Close Up. But that's it!

Old faithful hair products. I wont even bore you with the Tres Two Hairspray. I'll just say that I love it! and have about 3 bottles (You think I'm kidding?) in my stash. Herbal Essences Dry Shampoo. LOVE! But I got a little irritated because at the very end of the bottle, it started spraying out huge, wet, clumps of powder. I already repurchased another bottle and will continue to until I find something better.

Soap! I actually used up two more bottles but I threw them away. I always go for the foaming kind. They're quick, easy, and gentle on your hands. I prefer the BBW kind because I am a soap snob, haha! Really I like that they have different scents throughout the year. Because they are a bit on the pricey side, I will only get them when they are on sale and I have a coupon. Otherwise, It is any other brand of foaming soap.

I throw out my shower caps every few months. I pick them up anywhere...Walmart, Target, TJ Maxx. I tend to go for the Large sized ones. I am able to tuck all of my hair in that way.

I decided to include wax empties for those of you that are into that. I am only going to show the TOTALLY empty containers. Most of mine are single tarts or scoopable waxes now so I wont have many to show very often. I picked the Glade wax up last Winter. This Vanilla scent was nice. I mixed it with an Apple Cinnamon they had. I am not planning on repurchasing but only because I have so many other vanilla scents in my collection. Scent Sationals Tea Thyme is great! It's a very fresh, green scent. I already repurchased another one of these.

That's it! I hope you enjoyed a peek into my garbage. haha! If you have any questions about any of the products mentioned, please ask!

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
