Hello Friends!
Welcome back to the 2nd post of my Halloween Series. Today I will show you 3 looks that are easy and can be achieved using products you probably already own. I was thinking specifically about those of you that can dress up for work but don't want to wear an actual costume.
Look 1: Orange and Black Eyeshadow
Start by priming your lids. Apply a white shimmery shadow around your inner corner, tear duct, and brow bone. Apply a light orange shadow on the inner 3rd of your eyelid blending it into the white. On the center of the lid, apply a bright orange shade. Blend it into the light orange shadow. We want the look blended but want to keep the gradient effect (transitioning from white, to light orange, to bright orange, and eventually black). On the outer corner apply a black shadow and bring it into the crease. Really take your time to blend the black out. Bring the black up to your brow bone but not touching the highlight we applied earlier. We want some space between the black and the highlight shade. Going back to the bright orange use that as a transition color between the brow bone highlight and the black. Using a flat liner brush and the black shadow, line your lower lash line. Wipe off the brush and take the bright orange and apply that below the black shadow. Be sure to blend the shadow along the lower lash line for a smooth look. Line your upper lash line with a black liner. I used liquid. Line your water line with a black pencil. Apply mascara and you're done! If you want to add some drama to the look, apply falsies or add glitter over the Orange shadows.
Look 2: Beautiful Butterfly
I love the whimsy of this look. You can make wings on both of your eyes if you want a mask-like look. Or just to one if you want to keep it simple. I did one side because I didn't want to worry about making my wings symmetrical. Prime your lid and side of your face (I used eye primer on my eye and face primer on my face. I was afraid I'd break out if I applied eye primer on my face). Start by drawing out your wings with a black liner (don't forget your antennae). Then pick your shadows, I used purple and blue for mine. I applied a white base to make my shadows brighter. Once you have your wing colored how you like it. Take a black liquid liner and add black ends to the edges of your wing. Apply white dots over the black we just applied (or you can use glitter) to highlight your wing. Remember to bring the shadow on to your eye lid to complete the look. Apply black liner and mascara. Now you can stop here or apply an iridescent glitter over your wing for added sparkle.
Look 3: Green Witch or Maleficent
Of course I had to throw a darker look in the bunch! This one was a lot of fun! Prime your lid and apply a medium toned green all over the lid. Apply a light green shadow from your tear duct/inner corner and bring it up to your brow bone. Yes, up to your brow bone! To add some darkness, take a dark green or black shadow and apply to your outer corner. Going back to the light green, apply it to the high point of your cheek bone. Smudge some medium toned green shadow under the lower lash line. Apply black liner to the upper lash line and create a dramatic wing. Also line the inner corner of the eye with black liner. Curl lashes and apply mascara. This look also includes a lip. Line your lips with a DARK purple, black, plum lip liner. I used a dark plum and a black liner for mine. Fill in the lip with the line, leaving the center of your lip open. Apply a dark purple color to the center of your lip and top with a clear gloss. Don't ruin your lip gloss on this! Apply some to the back of your hand and then to your lip with your finger. This look would also look great with a classic red lip depending on how witchy you want to be.
That completes our 3 quick looks. I hope you enjoyed them and will give them a try. If you do, please send me a picture! I have a few more Halloween looks planned for you all. Be sure to check back for those.
Until next time…
