Gorgeous Golden Eyes & Dark Diva Lips

Welcome back,
I really love the look of a dark lip in the Fall. I have to admit...there's a certain feeling I get when I wear a bold lip. The golden eye it's absolutely beautiful and can be worn with a nude lip if you're a nude lip kinda gal.

Ready to bring your inner Diva out?
I thought so...

Before I started I applied my foundation, concealer, and brows.
(I will list the products I used below for those of you that are interested)

I used The Nudes Palette by Maybelline for this eye look. If you haven't checked out this palette, you should. It has a great range of colors that you can create a ton of different looks with.

On with the tutorial!

Using this light brown/taupe shade on a fluffy brush using windshield wiper motions in your crease blending the color up towards the browbone. This will serve as our transition color.

Taking a pointed crease brush and this plum color- apply it into your outer corner and crease.

Using a small shader brush with nothing on it- blend the color out. We don't want any harsh lines so be sure to take your time with this step.

Now using your finger, apply this light gold shadow to your inner corner bringing the color to the center of your lid but not touching the plum shadow. Do this by gently tapping the shadow onto your lid.

Wipe your finger off and take the darker gold shadow and apply this between the plum and light gold we just applied.

Take this nude shade on a flat shader brush to highlight your browbone.

Taking a small detail brush apply the light gold round your tear duct and bring it around to your lower lashline.

Take a smudge brush with the dark gold and plum shadows and make the bottom lash line very smoky and blended out.

Next I curled my lashes, applied a brown liquid liner, lined my upper and bottom waterline with a brown pencil, and applied plenty of mascara.

Now for the star of the show...I introduce...Revlons Black Cherry!!!
Ok, that was a bit much but I love this color!!! Before I applied it I lined my lips with a nude-ish lip pencil, Tawny by Jordana. If you're new to dark lips you can apply your lipstick with a lip brush for more control.

Sticking with the golden theme, I chose this beautiful golden apricot blush. This leaves a beautiful flushed look to the cheeks. Perfect for this time of year.

If you're a green eyed girl, like me these shadows will make your eyes POP!

And we're done!!! Don't you feel like a Diva?? I know I did! I'm really happy with the way this look came together. I hope you enjoyed it and will give it a try.

Here is a list of products I used on the rest of my face:
Foundation~ Covergirl Stay Fabulous
Concealer~ Maybelliene Instant Age Rewind
Brows~ Milani Brow Kit in Light, brow wax, and gel (all Milani)

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
