My Must Have Skin Lovin' Products

Hello again,

I have been asked to talk about my favorite body lotions, scrubs, etc. (Thank you, Emily for the suggestion). I didn't have to think very long about this one because the products I use are great!

Sugar Scrubs~
I have tried many a sugar scrub. I stumbled Tree Hut Sugar Scrub a few years ago and instantly fell in love. It has a nice texture to it and isn't harsh on your skin. It's also is very moisturizing which is perfect for me because I tend to be dry. I keep a tub of this in my shower at all times. I use it every time I shave my legs. Not only does it help me achieve a closer shave but it also lessens the bumps I get from shaving. I am currently using the Original Shea scent and it's heavenly! It's a sweet, vanilla, yumminess! I have yet to try a scent that I didn't like. These come in huge 18 oz. tubs so they last a while. They are priced around $7 and even though that is very affordable compared to other scrubs out there...I am sure to stock up when they are on sale. Great value with this product.

Body Cream~
Bath and Body Works Body Cream is my favorite! It's not greasy at all, it absorbs easily into the skin, and smells wonderful! I use this cream in place of their regular body lotion. I don't know why, but it seems like no matter how much of their regular lotion I apply my skin is still dry! This cream makes my skin feel smooth and refreshed. If you haven't tried it you definitely should!

Daily Lotion~
This is one category I have more than one product. brace yourselves!
Aveeno Baby Daily Moisturizer-
I like this for many reasons. It's very moisturizing and will absorb into the skin quickly, yet it feels like you put a nice heavy cream on. It's not greasy and it doesn't have a scent. I've used this stuff for years and will always choose it over any other Aveeno lotion.

Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer-
This has been talked about before. If you are in a hurry or need to get dressed right away but don't want the "Eww! I'm sticky" feeling then try this! You literally, spray in on, rub it in for a few seconds are are good to go! It comes in several scents but this is the only scent I have tried so far.

Body Conditioner~
Yes, you read that right. I said BODY CONDITIONER! Such a thing exists. Thanks to Lush. You all know I have a thing for Lush products. I was given a gift card for my birthday and decided to splurge a little. Ro's Argan Body Conditioner is awesome!!! If you love a sweet rose scent, give this baby a whiff next time you're in Lush and definitely ask for a sample! I know this is something I can't go without now...and it's pricey but I am willing to spend the money. I guess I should tell you what it is right? It's basically a deep moisturizer for your body. Wet your skin and smooth a layer of this on and let is soak in for a few minutes. Rinse off then pat dry. It leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and soft. I will use this at night and will still feel the moisturizers on my skin in the morning. Obsessed with this stuff!

So those my Must Have Skin Lovin' Products! I hope you enjoyed it. Have you tried any of these? What are some of your favorites?

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...
