Empties: Products I've used up

Hello and Happy Thursday to you!

I hope you've had a good week so far. Today I will share my garbage with you. Haha! You know the drill... I will show you the products, give a brief review, and tell you if I'll repurchase or not.

Let's go!

First out of the bag is hair products. (From left to right)
Dove Dry Shampoo-
I think I liked this when I first got it but I grew to hate it. It leaves little white balls of powder in your hair. I have dark hair...um no! I tried to force myself to use this whole bottle but Dove won in the bitter end. It has a very strong smell, which gave me a headache about 30 minutes in. Needless to say, I will not repurchase!

Herbal Essences Shampoo-
Ahhh!!! I love this. Have since high school. It has that classic Herbal Essences scent. I have the conditioner too (it's still in the shower) I use left over conditioner as shaving cream. It works! And it's a great way to use up your conditioner. Love it. Already have repurchased them both.

L'Oreal Evercreme Conditioner-
Another shampoo and conditioner team I love. I too used the shampoo up before I finished this so it also served as shaving cream in the end. This moisturizes my hair without weighing it down or making it greasy. I have already repurchased.

Lush Blousey Shampoo-
I love to hate this stuff. It wreaks of flowers. I mean your head will smell like a nightmarish garden. Why did I buy it?? Because it did great things for my hair. It's expensive so I probably won't repurchase.

Kevin Murphy Hydrate Me Wash-
Loooove the way this smells. It was given to me as a sample/gift so I have no idea where you get it or how much it costs. I really like the way this makes my hair feel, style, and smell after. I probably would repurchase if I found it.

Ooh la la! Fancy product time!!

Clearly someone has an obsession with face and eye masks! I'll work left to right...
Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips-
A must have for me. I use these often. I love these things it's gross and cool to see what gets sucked out of your pores. If you haven't tried them you should at least once. It does hurt a bit when you peel them off but you'll live. I have these on my shopping list.

Hydrating Facial Wrap-
My favorite paper mask! These come in a 3 pack at TJ Maxx for $3.99! Sadly this was my last one. But next time I'm in that store I will be on the hunt for these babies!

Forever Young Cleansing Lavendar Towelettes-
These are another TJ Maxx find. There are 30 wipes for $1.99! So of course I picked them up. They were nice but thin and the last few wipes were kind of dry. I would repurchase totally worth it for the price.

Ellen Tracy Purify Mask-
This was nice but no where near as nice as the others. They don't really make my skin feel moisturized after I use them so I probably won't repurchase. These are also from TJ Maxx and come 4 in a pack for $5.99.

Ellen Tracy Fresh and Radiant Eye Masks-
These were awesome. I have a lot of fine lines under my eyes so I love to baby that area. These are very soothing and cooling. I'm sad they're gone. I had a box of each of these and will repurchase.  Again, from TJ Maxx and come 4 pairs in a box for $3.99.

The Lame products of the bunch. Haha (meaning these aren't that exciting to talk about)

Polish Remover-
I always use 100% acetone polish. So any brand will do. This was a bottle I picked up from Bed, Bath and Beyond. I would repurchase if I was in that store and needed some. I think this bottle was $1.99.

Ocean Salt-
I'll spare you from me going on and on about this stuff. You know I love it. I bought another tub before this one was empty. Nuff said.

Secret Deodorant-
I always feel like a weirdo when I show this product. So sorry if it freaks you out. But I want to say, if you need a clear deodorant that actually works the Ooh la la lavender is great. I've tried this deodorant in other scents and this one seems to work the best and keeps me fresh all day.

Method Foaming Hand Soap-
Another lavender product. Big surprise. I always use foaming soap. This was nice and had a great lavender scent. I have already repurchased.

Now for the beauty products...

elf Makeup Mist & Set-
I like this for work days. I don't like using my "good stuff" (NYX or MAC Fix +) when I'm going to work. I feel like I'm wasting them even though I wear a good amount of makeup to work. ANYWAY, I always have a bottle of this ready to go. It's only $3 and it works good enough to set my makeup.

Milani Clear Brow Gel-
This is what the gold and black tube is. I used this so much that all the gold writing has come off. I already repurchased it.

Maybelline Master Precise Liner-
Loved this liner so much! It has a really long felt tip that comes to a really fine point. My only issue with this was that it dried out really fast. As far as I know this only comes in black and I tend to use brown liners. I probably will repurchase this when I'm in the mood for a black liner again.

Nivea Kiss of Milk and Honey Chapstick-
This is a huge favorite of mine. I buy this a few tubes at a time. It's very moisturizing, makes my lips super soft, lasts a long time, and smells so yummy! Nivea has great products I've always been pleased with everything I've tried from them.

Covergirl Flamed Out Mascara-
This mascara was ok. It didn't really wow me. My biggest complaint was that the brush was HUGE which made it very difficult to use. I like too many other mascaras to waste my time on ones that don't wow me. I won't repurchase.

That's all for my beauty related empties. Next I'm moving on to wax empties, so if this isn't an interest of yours feel free to go on about your day. Thank you for stopping by and reading my blog.

This is the wax I've used up. I'm not going to even try to describe the scents because I'm terrible at it. All I can say is that the Glade, Cozy Cottage, Enchanted Pumpkin Valley, Gingerbread House are all holiday, warm, sweet and spicy scents. Perfect for this time of year.
Coal is a clean, masculine type scent.
Zen and Sinus Relief are minty scents. I melt Zen when I have a headache because it's a very soothing scent to me. Sinus Relief is perfect for when I'm feeling stuffy.

Ok, that's ALL of my empties! I'm always amazed by how many products I use up. I have some really pretty holiday looks coming up so stay tuned for those.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
