Me Time Tag

Hello again,

The "Me Time" Tag is a Youtube thing. For those of you that don't know...my blog started because I refuse to start a YT Channel. Don't get me wrong, I love YT but I can't stand listening or watching myself on camera! In fact, in my free time I'm either watching YT or blogging. That being said I will give you the purpose of this Tag...I saw it on YT. MissCrystal to be exact. It looked like fun, so I thought why not? I'm not going to tag anyone else to do this but if you do, please let me know so I can check it out.

On to the questions!

What do you watch or read during me-time?
I watch Youtube, classic chick flicks (Steel Magnolias, Dirty Dancing), Nail'd It
I read blogs and reviews on beauty products

What do you wear during me-time?
Always some kind of lounge wear. I am never hanging around the house in street clothes. As soon as I'm home, I put on something comfy. I blame it on wearing scrubs to work. I don't want whatever particles of God knows what around my house. Eww!

What are your me-time beauty products?
Face Masks, Eye Masks, or my nail care products since I usually fit in my pedicures during this time.

Current favorite nail polish?
Current Favorite is Red Velvet by Sally Hansen. I have it on my toes and had it on my fingers. It's my all time favorite red sparkle polish. It doesn't have pieces of chunky glitter in it. It's more of a red shimmer. It's beautiful!

What do you eat/drink during me-time?
Depends on the season... if it's warm, I'll sit out back and enjoy our beautiful yard with a glass of iced tea (homemade, of course)
If it's cold, I'm curled up on the couch with a blanket sipping coffee or Abuelitas Mexican Hot Cocoa. So good! I grew up on the stuff. It's definitely an acquired taste but I love it!

Current favorite candle?
Enchanted Pumpkin Valley by Better Homes & Gardens. I got it at Walmart for $3 or $4. It's sooooo yummy! I had wax cubes in this scent and flipped when I saw the candle. Perfect scent for this time of year.

Do you ever have outdoor me-time?
I'm not out-doorsy AT ALL. I will go outside when it's warm, like I mentioned above in the drink question.

Would you ever go see a movie alone?
Negative, ghost rider! I don't know where that came from. Haha! I don't like going to the movies anyway because people are loud and rude. I'd rather wait and watch it at home in my pj's.

Favorite online shop?
I browse online at a lot of places. However, I purchase the most from Hautelook. I have the app on my phone so it has the potential to be dangerous. They have awesome deals and easy returns. You should check it out if you haven't.

Anything to add? Of course, Do you sing and dance when you're alone?
I also will clean or organize. I know that's weird, but it's calming and gives me such a sense of accomplishment when I've tackled something on my never ending to-do list.

I hope you enjoyed a peek into what my me-time is like. It's very important to take care of yourself. Life gets so busy it's easy to think about everything you have to do or everyone else. Stop once in a while, take a breath, and reflect on things you're grateful for. What are some of your favorite things to do during your me-time?

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
