Empties: Products I've Used Up

Welcome back!
Believe it or not, I don't plan these posts. I have an reusable shopping bag I keep under my vanity and when it gets full I decide it's time for another empties post! So here we are! As always I will briefly tell you what I thought about each product and if I'll repurchase or not.

Here we go!

Clean & Clear Night Relaxing Deep Cleaning Face Wash~
This is my favorite night time face wash! I haven't repurchased another one because I have a few others I wanted to use first. I will definitely repurchase when I finish those up. The scent is great and it really helps me unwind and relax at the end of a crazy day.

Tickled Pink Detoxifying Wipes~
I really liked these. I'm sure you've seen. In my other posts that I usually buy my makeup remover wipes at TJ Maxx. These looked interesting so I picked them up. They were good and the towels maintained their moisture till the end of the pack. I didn't see them the last time I was there but I would pick them up if they have them again.

Hydrating Facial Wrap~
Another TJ Maxx deal! Love these! They feel amazing on my skin. Wether or not it's dry. I always have a variety of these on hand. I try to use them once a week.

Out The Door Topcoat~
By far my favorite topcoat. It dries super fast, it stays nice and shiny, and it doesn't shrink up. I always have a bottle (or two) of this ready to go. When it gets towards the bottom of the bottle it can get a little goopy, but it's so close to the end that it is had to get a good amount on the brush anyway.  I find mine for the best price ($3 and change) at Bed, Bath & Beyond. My store has the drugstore inside of it, If I'm not able to make it there I can get it at CVS for about $5.

Elf Eyelash curler~
I loved this curler. As far as I can tell Elf stopped making this specific style. I tried the new $1 one and it just isn't the same. It doesn't curl my lashes the same and from regular use, the metal tweaked and I ended up throwing it out. I'm getting rid of this one because the plastic handle broke off and it's almost impossible to use without it- unless you want to pull all your lashes out. NO! I have since repurchased a Revlon curler and I really enjoy it. It's the black and red one, incase you were wondering.

Covergirl Super Thick Lash~
Love this mascara. It's about $4 and it really adds volume to your lashes. I have since repurchased but I haven't opened it yet. The packaging has changed since I bought this tube. The new packaging is still pink but the top is flat now.

Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream~
This saves my skin! I have since purchased another travel size which is almost gone so I finally picked up this huge tub of this. I have combo skin. But the skin that is dry, IS DRY! I apply this all over my face at night and it really helps moisturize my skin. You can use this on your face, body, and hands. I have used it on my hands and elbows, It works great!

Grass Shower Gel by Lush~
I know what you're thinking...Eww! Does that really smell like grass??? Yes, Ladies. It smells exactly like fresh cut grass. I don't use this but "He" does. I haven't repurchased another one but I am going to soon.

Vaseline Spray & Go~
My favorite on-the-go, light-weight lotion. "He" uses this too. It doesn't leave your skin feeling sticky or wet like other lotions do. You can really spray it on and go! I already have another one of these.

EOS Shave Cream~
The only shave cream we will use. I get really bad razor burn/break outs/red bumps after I shave my legs. This stuff is a miracle worker. It's very creamy and doesn't have an over powering scent. The only thing I don't like is the packaging. After you've pumped all you can pump there is still a TON of product left in the bottle. We cut it open and scrape it out into another container. EOS if you're reading this PLEASE repackage this! Oh, and I already have one or two of these as back ups.

I always feel so weird showing you guys these products. Do you even care about these? If not, I wont include them next time.

Close Up Cinnamon Toothpaste~
I picked this up because we ran out of the Toms cinnamon toothpaste. It was OK but I don't plan on repurchasing (as long as I can get Toms)

Toms Whole Care Cinnamon and Clove Toothpaste~
I don't think I have ever tried a Toms that I didn't like. It doesn't have the chemical taste so many other tooth pastes have. Now I will admit, it does take some getting used to. But once you use natural toothpaste and then go back to regular, you will taste the chemicals! I always have a few of these on hand.

Secret Deodorants~
I used to always go for the Scent Expressions line of secret. I don't know why I switched to the PH Balanced line but I really like it. It has a nice fresh scent that lasts all day. One draw back is that it is white so you can't wear it with tank tops and it will get on your clothes if you're not careful. I already repurchased a two pack of the PH Balanced kind.

Tres Two Hair Spray~
I'll spare you the pain of me raving about this hairspray. You know it's the only one I use and I always have a gazillion (ok, like one or two) as back ups.

Herbal Essences Smooth Collection Conditioner~
I think in my last empties I had the shampoo that went with this. I already have more ready to go, as soon as I finish the shampoo and conditioner I am currently using.

Tiffany & Co. Silver Polishing Cloth~
Now for the weirdest empty of all. For those of you that don't know...I have a slight obsession with Tiffany & Co. If you're not familiar with these, They are the cloths that you polish your silver with. They take off all of the tarnish but they do turn black eventually.
Here's a little tip for you fellow Tiffany shoppers: If you're in there purchasing or picking something up, ask them for a cloth. Most of the time (if you're purchasing) they wont charge you for it. I think out my entire Tiffany love affair, I have only paid for one. You're welcome.

That's it for my empties! I'm so happy that I get to throw these things away now. Have you tried any of these products?

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
