Welcome back!
Today I will be talking about two products I was sent for review. I have used these products for several weeks and feel like I have a pretty good idea of how they perform.

The first is this Advanced Action Retinol Moisturizer

What's in it?
25% Retinol
Vitamin C
Hyakuronic Acid
Jojoba Oil
Shea Butter
Green Tea

What does it look like?
A thick white cream. If you're not into heavy feeling creams, you'll want to skip this one. You can definitely feel the heaviness of this cream. Which I prefer for night time creams. (I only apply this at night)

How do you use it?
I have very sensitive skin so I only use this every other night. I usually try to stick with a light weight moisturizer during the day because I have found that my makeup doesn't stay put if I use anything heavy under it.

Does it work?
I haven't noticed a dramatic difference with my skin as of right now. I did notice that my skin was a little bit dryer than it usually is but that would be due to the weather. Other than the dryness, no other skin irritations have occurred.

The next product (which I actually apply before the moisturizer) is this Age Defying Retinol Serum

What's in it?
25% Retinol
20% Vitamin C
10% Hyaluronic Acid
Fruit and Plant Acids

What does it look like?
A typical clear serum. It's very thin and absorbs quickly into the skin.

How do you use it?
I apply about the amount I have on my hand to  my finger tips and apply all over my face and neck. I don't ever rub serums in, instead I use a patting motion and press it gently into my skin. I allow this to dry before topping with the moisturizer.

Does it work?
Like I said with the moisturizer, I haven't used it long enough to notice any dramatic changes in my skin. I will say that in the morning when I wake up my skin feels very smooth and my makeup seems to apply better than usual.

I hope you guys learned a little bit more about these products. I will continue to use these because I want to see if I notice a difference in my skin over time. Thank you so much for Insta Natural and Brandbacker for giving me the opportunity to try these products.

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
