I Went Shopping: CVS

Hello again,
If you follow me on Facebook or InstaGram you may have seen my posts about getting the itch to buy up all the new makeup in the drugstores. This is all from CVS. They have a great rewards system. Basically, if you sign up for their savings card they track what you buy and then give you coupons on your receipt.

Now let's talk about each product...

Wet n Wild came out with several new products. From what I remember...the display included: Nail polish, lipsticks, and eye liners. I have this darker color "Grape minds think alike" on my nails right now and it's beautiful. The formula is really nice. You could probably get away with one coat but I always apply two. I plan on going back to pick up a few of the other colors I liked. They also came out with a nude pencil that looked nice so I'll probably grab that too. For .99 a piece you can't beat their stuff.

This was my primary reason for going on the hunt. haha. I've heard great things about this concealer. It is very pale and has a yellow undertone to it. I may pick up the "Light" shade next time I go shopping. This color is great for highlighting the center of my face but to actually conceal blemishes and such, I feel the next shade up would be a better to match my skintone.

This primer is also part of the new Maybelline line. I really like this primer. As you can see, it is white out of the tube, but once you apply it to your face it's clear. I really like this primer so far. I've used it under several different foundations and it works great with them. I might pick up another one called Blur + Illumiate (I think) I'm curious to see what that one looks like. Another thing I'd like to mention is that they have a seal on this product.Which I appreciate. Nothing is worse than finding the product you want only to find that someone tampered with it. EWW!

These are the lipsticks I was talking about (see the color on my nails?? That's the polish from above)
This is a dusty baby pink color. It can look a little Barbie-ish, which I don't care for. But paired with a nude-ish liner, it's perfect!

Holy smokes! This lipstick, stain, whatever it is is AMAZING!!! If you want a long lasting lipcolor-this is it! I tried this on as soon as I got home and put it through the test. I drank coffee, water, and ate all night and this didn't budge or fade AT ALL! I even rubbed across my lips, kissed my hand several times, and nothing happened to the color. One draw back is that it can feel dry, my lips were already chapped yet the color glided on smoothly. I reapplied the "Step 2" which is a clear gloss type formula, which makes it dry to a semi- matte finish. So if you're not into that then you might want to skip these.

A friend of mine told me about these babies. I had seen and heard of them before and wasn't ever convinced to purchase them. So me and another friend went to CVS to scope them out and after a closer look, we snatched them up. I've used both of these, they're really pretty. They do have glitter in them and are super shimmery so steer clear if you're a matte type of gal. I roll the product onto my finger and then apply to my lids. My friend rolled them straight on to her lid, she did have a bit of fall out but it wasn't too bad. Give these a look next time you're by a NYX display. The colors are gorgeous!

I'm sure you have heard of this mascara before now. If not, meet Full Bloom. I'd say Covergirl is my all time favorite mascara brand. So of course, I needed this in my life. I haven't tried it yet but as soon as a space opens up on my vanity...she is coming out!

YES, another new mascara! I kind of have a thing about mascaras, what can I say?! This one caught my eye a few weeks back when it first hit the shelves. As I was walking past the display I noticed a $1 off coupon so I went for it. This will be the first Rimmel mascara I've tried so I hope she doesn't do me wrong.

That's it! (I know it's a lot of stuff) and the good news? I have more coupons to use! So another one of these bad boys might be coming soon. I have to see what new stuff Walgreens has!
Have you tried any of these or picked up anything new at the drugstore recently?
Would you like a review on any of these products?

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
