I Went Shopping: Lush

Hello Lushies!

If you've followed me for a while you know I love me some Lush!!! For those of you that aren't familiar with Lush they are a company that sells handmade cosmetics (bath, body, and beauty products). I won't go into the the whole history of Lush (and trust me, I know it) but I think they're awesome and most importantly...The don't test on animals!!
There are several Lush products that fit in to mine and Mr. Adela Told Me's life. He ran out of his favorite body wash so I placed an order online and of course couldn't pass up their super adorable Valentine's stuff!

Let's see what we got!
( I linked each of these items below my description)

It doesn't look like much but it doesn't take a whole lot of Lush to make this girl happy!
Now let's talk about each product individually...

The little plastic baggie at the bottom is a sample of their The Godmother Soap. I've ordered this in the past. It's a very sweet, candy like scent.

Grass Shower Gel~
This was for Mr. Adela Told Me. This is his favorite shower gel. It really goes smell just like fresh cut grass! I know, I know! That sounds odd. But it's a great, fresh, clean scent for a man (or a woman. I've used it too)

The Kiss Lip Scrub~
Holy smokes! This smells delicious!!! I could sniff this so hard that I could suck one of those sprinkles right up my nose! It has a sweet, sugary, vanilla, with maybe a hint of berry kind of scent. It's YUMMY!!

In Your Dreams Wrapped Gift~
My first ever wrapped gift from Lush. I bought this for myself. Why?! Um...why not?! It's wrapping is precious! But really because it had 3 of their valentines products that I wanted to try. I'm waiting till Valentine's Day to open it...NOT!

Inside the wrapping you're presented this little cardboard box with a cartoon sticker of whom made this glorious gift! It also has a little pamphlet explaining your treats. This one contained:
Prince Charming Shower Gel~
A pretty pink shower gel like smells tart like a pomegranate but has a sweetness from vanilla.

The Kiss Lip Balm~
A pink tinted lip balm that has the same kind of sweetness as the sugar scrub. Your lips are definitely in for a treat with these products!

Unicorn Horn~
How magically cute is this?!? I could hardly contain myself when I saw this. It's sparkly, it smells like lavender, ylang ylang, and neroli. (if you're a fan of their Twilight Bath Bomb you will love this!) It has pretty colors and has tiny stars in it. I mean, can you ask for more?! I can't wait to pop this thing in the tub!

Here's a close of up the products inside...

That's what I/we got from Lush! What are some of your favorite Lush products?

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

Update: Where I've been...

Hello!  You may have noticed that I haven't posted on here in over a month! A lot has been going on in my life. Without going into too much detail I will say that I was not getting enough sleep and there was death in the family. Slowly but surely I have bounced back and I'm ready to move on. I have some new posts planned for you all and want to thank you for sticking with me through my absence. Also, I am still planning on doing a giveaway to celebrate over 20,000 views. You guys are awesome! Your support means the world to me. I can't wait to get back into blogging regularly. If you have any requests, please let me know.  Xoxo, Adela
