Nude Shimmery Eye Tutorial

Hi Friends!

Thanks for stopping by. Today I will share a look that is similar to the "Brown Shimmery Eye Tutorial" I posted a week or so ago.

I've worn this look several times and I like how it keeps me looking wide awake throughout the day. For those of you that don't know...I wake up around 3:45 am most days. I found that waking up earlier makes it easier for me to start dinner in the crockpot or tidy up the house. I work full time (and commute) so for me it is difficult to do ANYTHING around the house after a full day of work. After I play wee hours of the morning Cinderella, I apply my makeup (around 5:00 am) and it lasts me till the end of the day. All I do for touch ups is apply a bit of gloss and blot my oily areas.
Wow! That was quite an unnecessary ramble.

Before I started I applied:
Maybelline Master Prime Blur + Smooth Primer
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Undereye Concealer in Brightening and Fair
Maybelliene Fit Me Concealer in 15
Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten Foundation in Medium
Elf HD Undereye Setting Powder
Brows (Milani)

These are some of the products that I will be using today...

Let's get to the tutorial!

I know! You're probably getting sick of seeing neutrals and browns but that's what I wear girlfriends! I can't exactly rock a hot pink eyeshadow at work. Just trying to keep it real and show products I actually use!

I'm using my beloved Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette (the first one).
Take the shade Naked 2 on a fluffy blending brush and apply that to your crease and blend upwards. This will serve as our transition color.

On a crease brush, take Faint and apply that to your outer corner and crease to add some dimension to that area,

Take a fluffy blending brush and blend that baby out till you have a smooth look.

Using a flat shader brush and WOS apply this as your browbone highlight.

Using an angled brush and Faint again, smudge that under your lower lashline.

Now, for the nude shimmer!
Using NYX Roll On Shimmer in Nude (duh!) and a small detail brush, pack the color onto your lid using a patting motion. You may have to go back to the roller ball for more product till you get your desired glitteryness.

To finish the look, I applied a winged liner with Palladio Brown-Black liquid liner and applied a few generous coats of Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. (Picture above)
Then I applied Tarte blush in Amour, Nyx Butter Gloss in Vanilla Cream Pie, and set everything with a generous spritz of NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray.

Wah-la! We're done! Believe it or not, this is a really quick look. I've even applied with with just the transition shade and the shimmer with mascara. Don't be afraid to alter makeup to your liking. If you don't like liner, skip it! It's all about how you like it.

Here's some pics of the finished look...

See how bright eyed and awake I look?

Appreciate that wing, girls! I don't know about you but when my liner game is strong I feel like I could rule the World. Just me???

That's all for today my friends! I hope you enjoyed this look and will give it a try. If you haven't tried these NYX Roll On Shimmers, you should definitely give them a shot. Or at least look at them next time you pass the display. They really are pretty.

Until next time...
Xoxo,
Adela

Get Ready With Me: Sick, but you'd never know it!

Welcome back! We've all had days when we're feeling under the weather and would rather stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to do so. I had one of these days this past weekend... it was Jr. Prom night for my nephew which means, photos with Auntie (he loved it, trust me)  Here are my tips and tricks on how to look your best when you're feeling your worst.  Let's get started... First things first, start with a clean face. Then, moisturize and prime your skin. I used a heavier moisturizer under primer because my skin tends to get very dry when I'm not feeling well.  An oldie but goodie is Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer. This is about $5 at Target or drugstores. Concealing is always important. Especially when you're sick. I applied Age Rewind under my eyes and Dream Lumi around my nose to hide extra redness. I blended them in with my fingers using light patting motions.   I evened out my complexion with two fairly recent products...

Adela's at home pedicure

Welcome back! Spring is officially here which means warmer weather and cute sandals! It's time to get those tootsies back in shape! Now I can admit, a professional pedicure can be nice. But if you are short on time and want to save some cash why not do it at home? Today I'll share my at home pedicure routine. I do this year round (Once a month in the winter. Twice a month in the spring/summer). Let's get started... Here are the supplies you'll need: A towel Nail Polish remover Cotton balls Sugar scrub Bath Salts  Lotion Manicure kit Cuticle oil Cuticle remover  Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle Nail file Buffer Pumice stone  Correcting pen Orange stick Clippers Cuticle clippers Base coat Top coat Polish of your choice  Large bowl to soak your feet I know that seems like a lot, you probably already have these items. If not, you can find most of them at your local dollar store.  Step 1. Remove old polish. This is the polish remover I use. Any brand will work. Step...

I went shopping!

Hello again, Let's be honest, we all love to see what others buy. I know I do! I've picked up some new beauty products and I thought I'd share them with you. This is several trips/purchases put together in one post. Grab a snack and some iced tea. It's going to be a long one!  Here are the goods. Some are repurchases, some are new. I can't wait to dig into these babies! I'll say a bit about each product.  Covergirl Clump Crusher- I've been a long time fan of Covergirl mascaras. Clump Crusher has made it's way into my favorite spot. It has a plastic brush with a curve to it so it easily reaches all of the lashes. As the name implies it doesn't clump AT ALL! I didn't believe it till I tried it and now I alway have a tube of this. I stock up when it's buy one get one 50% off.  I ordered the next three products off Hautelook a few weeks ago. This is the foundation I always use. It's several shades swirled together as a liquid then baked on a ...
